They need to wrap up every lose end in the last half of this season since it's the last season.

Im more interested in seeing him fight Doomsday rather than tying up any threads, but then again I didnt start watching this series until last season. After seeing what happened to Lana in France (I think, where she blanked out for an entire day and found a tramp stamp on her lower back the next morning) I am curious if she has some kind of power now.

Smallville has really disappointed me, and I've been a loyal fan through and through.

Clark still can't even fly. Doesn't wear the glasses so he's not technically Superman, yet. Doomsday was supposed to be a genetically engineered war machine.

As much as I like watching it, (haven't missed an episode) I'm glad this is the last season.

I just found rumors of season 9 being in talks, but some people havent renewed contracts for next year. In one thread discussing Smallville, they talked about morphing it into a Justice League type show.

I am in the same exact boat.

I've watched it from day 1 and feel like I've "invested" so much into this show but feel it's never played out like I'd want. I feel kind of happy that this is the last season so that I don't have to follow it any longer.

They have a lot of ground to cover before Doomsday should even come in. Leads me to believe it will be the end soon. I love watching the show but I really hate it at times. I truly feel they drug out Lana far too long and the story suffered because of this.


The truly sad part is there will never be an epic final conflict between Clark and Lex.

Jeez I would have stuck it out. I really like the show and have seen every episode although I get frustrated with Clark.

would be interesting, since after this break there is january/feb shows...then march/april hiatus...then late april/may finale. as long as clark does lois it's all good.
