What a great episode! Christopher Reeves, the original Superman music....wow, I haven't "felt" like that watching a TV show in a long time. I hope they keep up on this pace, I'd love to see some interesting stuff finally happen!

I never read the comic book but the movies don't suggest that was his mission...

I dont think the message meant for him to Conquer earth. I think that it was just there to tell him that he would have the STRENGTH to conquer earth, and it would make his parents proud if he did.



When they played the music, I giggled like a school girl. Man that was a great episode

As for conquering Earth, I also agree that his biological parents knew that his capabilities would be more than any mere human, but I was thinking that their intention was less "conquer" than "lead" or "save". Obviously we all know what he goes on to do, but maybe he had a stint as dictator before the comic books picked up.

heh, I think superman comics were out before dbz manga..but I could be wrong

Wow this show has really picked up since last season.

IMO, The ships message was misread by Clark as it provides future character development stories & such.
