Fuck Smallville. OMFG I can't believe this shit, there's going to be another damn season? This was supposed to be it, he should be Superman by now. Millar and Gough quitting was the worst thing that happened to Smallville, which should be called Metropolis since all the country flair left the show.

Fuck the CW. He defeated Doomsday, the creature that technically killed him in the comics, in like 4 seconds without even his ability to fly.

Edit: MILD SPOILERS below

My guess is that by breezing over how he survived the explosion, there's going to be some explanation next season (joy) about how Doomsday is only in stasis somewhere, etc. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Lois zipping around in time is able to reverse everything that just happened.

As for Jimmy, once I saw Chloe give the camera to his little brother at the funeral, I was just waiting to hear his parents call out, "come on Jimmy, let's go." I mean, they mentioned his name during the service as Henry James, so I wouldn't be surprised if his little brother's name was James Henry. Heh.

Correct me if I'm wrong on Doomsday - if I remember from the comics, he came from underground right? I remember reading it and seeing "BOOM BOOM BOOM" coming from the woods. I don't know if they ever explained how he got there.

In regards to the finale - I feel the same anger other people here have. The worst part for me is that he still can't fly...that should have been done 2-3 seasons ago. There's just so many things they've done offbeat from the comics. I've loved the show but if this was the end, fvck them.

That's how Doomsday originally appeared in the Death of Superman story. Later they went back and told his origin, and how he was created on Krypton. He was sent out and kept dying due to the environment, etc... After he died he was brought back in and cloned, then sent back out until he eventually became Doomsday.

His origin is explained in the 3 part story Hunter/Prey.

You're thinking of Season 4; AKA the season where the stopped writing John Glover's character as a proper villain, making the series less interesting.

It is funny. I was just talking to someone the other day about how brilliant the show was while they were still in high school. Most episodes were completely throw away stories but every single one had really great interactions between Lex and Clark. I think that is the thing that is missing most in the show now. They need to start focusing on the other extremely important relationship in the story, that of Lois and Clark. Yeah it has been done before, but with out Lex you need to fill the dynamic.

They are trying to hard to pit Clark against Oliver but they are doing it in the wrong way. If they are going to keep this up, they need to drop this "won't kill anyone" argument and move on to Law and Order versus Vigilante Justice. That is what really separated the Super Friends/Justice League. Batman/Green Arrow's vision of protecting the small guy from the evils and unjustice versus Superman/Wonder Woman's focus of upholding virtues and the law.

Finally caught up on the ep.. and really, I've got nothing left to say after what's already been said in this thread. Garbage. That was just awful.

Supernatural, on the other hand...I'm liking it more and more with each new season.

omfg I :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart: Supernatural

Indeed, indeed. Great finale. Supernatural's been one of those shows that actually does get better with each season. The first two were good in their own right, but this last one was fairly awesome.

Supernatural FTMFW!

The show just keeps getting better and better!

Not going to read this until I see it but just wanted to mark it so I can come back to it.

I really hope this was the last season...

There were a few good eps here and there post high school.. but the seasons weren't nearly as good as a whole. I did enjoy all the cameos from other comic book characters.

What the fuck!

God dammit what of fucking pile of steaming shit this show has become.

I'm so fucking done with this show, I just want it to end already.

I'm 99% sure that Lois will come back from the future and Clarke will have the ring then and undo everything that was done.

Lame ass show.

I cannot believe I've watched this POS for 8 damn years for it to just get this bad.

I stopped watch smallville a long time ago. It turned into dawson's creek. Erica Durance is hot but its just not enough to bring me in to watch, my brother watches it and of the few episodes I caught, its like as if the characters got dumb.

Yeah one of their weaker season finals. Felt like a big middle finger to fans. But it's been a pretty damn weak show from the beginning. All the characters become crying emo freaks before they either move away or are killed by the next emo freak. There were a few bright points about this last season though.

But they only have one season left

Unless they changed plans after the writer's strike, Supernatural was planned out for five seasons.

Doomsday 2.0? The show really has turned into a soar opera. They need to move on with the relationships.

This is what happens to almost every series that doesn't have a clear idea of where they want to go. Instead they write it each week and make it up as they go along, which almost always sucks for the viewers.
That was my concern for Lost. I hope and pray they are not making it up as they go along or the ending is going to suck. Same thing happened with BSG, was great while they had it planned out, then when they started making it up as they went along, it went down quick.

It is like reading a book while the writers still doing the rough draft.

For TV shows, the best work is at the beginning (forethought/planning). The rest is filler and running the writing "marathon" until the show goes into syndication.

Shows change as new writers join in later seasons completely taking the vision in another, usually worse, direction. Writing teams become political and ratings driven....and this shows up in the writing.

Take a show like the highly hailed "Law & Order." A new writer is shown gigantic tomes on every character that they have to study before writing an episode. Preparation is key to stay true to the show's vision.
