One of the main reasons I like my iPhone 4S is because of the battery life. Of course I made the change from an EVO which could be one of the worst battery phones in history. I have no idea if what I experienced with that phone was normal relative to most Android phones.

Evo was Gen 1 4g/LTE. Those radios ate up battery power at an insane rate.

My wife has a Rezound and she texts to her sisters and friends quite a bit through the day. She says she has to charge it every other day.

I have a VZW Galaxy Nexus and I use it moderately throughout the day, one or two calls, texting three or four people, 10 to 20 minutes of a game or two, and I have ~40% left at the end of the day. I just plug it in overnight and start each day with 100%. If I forget one night, I just bring the USB cable to work with me and plug it into my computer.

The chargers for these things are cheap now. That was one of the biggest turnoffs for me before, was how expensive they made the stupid proprietary chargers. But everything is micro-USB now. You can buy a charger for work, one for the car, and one for multiple outlets at home so you can plug the thing in wherever/whenever you need to, and only spend like $20. I ordered my phone from Amazon Wireless and they threw in a car charger for free. I just bought a charger pack that had an outlet charger, a car charger, and a USB cable for like 9 bucks.

When I had a Blackberry 2G from work I would typically go a week between charges. I have a Droid X2 now and I charge it a bit more often, heh.

As a general rule, when it comes to battery life, a Blackberry will have twice the life of an iPhone which will have about the same life as a Windows Phone and both of those will have better battery life than just about any Android phone. These are just general rules and your results may vary.

I had been using a BB Bold 9700/9780 for about 2 years. A new battery would last nearly 3 days and I would say that my usage is above average to heavy with quite a bit of internt, a lot of texting and a few phone calls. I recently tried a Lumia 700 and could make it about 10 hours between charges. Finally got tired of the battery life, missed the physical keyboard and went back to the BB 9780. I only charge every 2nd day or so.

i charge my SGSII I-9100 twice a day, im also on it for 6-9 hours a day though.

iPhone is famous for its battery life. However, my SGSII can last me a full day without dipping below 70 % battery life.
