whoever yono is, he better not be trying to give me negative feedback. i'm selling the 2nd switch from the pair i bought last month when the switch was going for $240.
Ordered mine today, and I have not gotten my confirmation e-mail. As soon as I do, I'm going to call the CSR and ask them about it.
When I ordered It said "USUALLY SHIPPS IN 24 - 48 HOURS"... I know it's not real time stock I'm looking at, but they accepted my order, and I will wait to see what the e-mail says.
i purchased this on Sunday night and I just checked the buy.com website and my order has shipped! Whoo hoo! Usually all my stuff ships out of their TX warehouse but this time its shipping out of their warehouse in IL...ETA is for arrival is thursday
I placed two orders for the switches, 1 on the 3rd and 1 on the 4th.
The order from the 4th shipped, the order from the 3rd did not. What kind of bass ackwards system they got over there. Shouldn't they be filling orders in the order they received them.
Well, I ordered mine on Saturday night and I checked my account today and it said my switches were shipped. ETA : March 8. But I'm pretty sure they only shipped one switch. My reasons:
Switch Weight (according to SMC): 4.63 lbs Package Weight (according to UPS): 6 lbs
So I would bet this package only contains ONE switch.
I had gotten the e-mail message that my order for this switch (ordered 1, get 1 free) was on backorder. I also verified this on the phone (1-888-880-1030) yesterday. My online order status has been saying "sent to warehouse".
Just out of curiosity, I checked the online status to see if the "send to warehouse" status had been changed to "on backorder".
The order status said "completed" and there was a ups tracking number. I checked the tracing number and it (an 8 lb. package) is headed in my direction. I again called up buycomp and asked as to the status of the order. They said that it was shipped. I mentioned the rebate (a free one will ship with the order) and they said that the package contained two of them.
Either that, or they guessed the weight. Settle down, folks ... let's give Buy.com a CHANCE to do the right thing. Considering how short on stock they were, I'd say that even if you got one now, an one later, it's better than NONE now.
Well it looks like I am the first to receive my order - ONLY ONE SWITCH IN THE BOX. First the Monitor problem now this - the only thing hot about this is being burned again by Buy.com
I placed my order on Sunday morning. But it's still in PROCESSING status. Guess I have to call them up. Can anybody let me know their 1-800 number? Thanks.
yeah, i'm basically not expecting to get 2 switches as of right now after seeing the rest of these posts. I screen captured the two screens which said the price + it was buy one get one free. I will use this to dispute w/ buy.com if the need arises (hopefully not).
I would suggest that if you did not receive your second switch, you should email or call Buy.com and inform them of this. Chances are that you did not receive both because someone at Buy.com made the decision that it would be better to get a single switch to twice as many people now and then follow up with the second at a later date. If so, this was not a very wise marketing decision as it will result in numerous calls and emails from those who only received one instead of two, but nevertheless it is probably what is going on.
I emailed them about this and here is their response.

Funny Thing is, I canceled my order yesterday but they still sent it. I wonder what the deal is on this... Anyways Here is my story and Im stickin to it.

First she said that the promotion was expired and they forgot to take out the message on the product page that said *FREE switch will ship with order.
When I pointed out that it was on the rebate page also with order dates until 3/31, she went away for awhile and came back to say -
They are working on removing that link and as of tomorrow (or whenever it gets removed) the promotion will no longer be valid. (No explanation for the end of March date and pulling it now.)
They ARE (according to her) shipping the free ones, only they will not go out until end of March in order (as someone suggested earlier) to
let as many people as possible get one now.
If any of this turns out to be false, just remember that all of it is what the CS said and she's only repeating what she's been told and I'm repeating it to you.
I don't even want to contemplate all of the possible scenarios for getting or not getting these and all of the time frames involved for returns, etc. Gives me a headache just thinking about it all. Guess I'm going to have to trust in Buy.com to do it right. (There's a not so comforting thought.)
