Buy.com shipped my first switch today! Woohoo!

Yes!! One of my switches shipped! A couple of days ago they gave me an ETA of 6 weeks, just like some other people.
I noticed this in the details of the tracking information:"ADJUSTMENT TO INCORRECT BILLED WEIGHT;FORWARDED TO DESTINATION"
Hmmmm, maybe two?

I received a white box european reject and a retail box.
both are working, but haven't tested them fully. I have to make sure all the ports are working first. thanks for the hot deals. can't wait to have a lan party.

Checked UPS tracking for weight and it shows 13 lbs. for mine - that should be two switches. Also warehouse and destination don't seem to matter. Mine shipped from Anaheim CA with me in FL. (Pity they couldn't find any at the Miami location.)

just got my white box european model...better than nothing i guess. called SMC and they said the fastest way to get a 110v plug was to contact buy.com...ugh

guess ill start the email flood and hope for a reply

Ever since I received my first three switches, the status of all three of my orders have consistently been "shipped." I am in somewhat of an e-mail battle with the buy.com Shipment Claims Department right now, and they told me that my credit card will not be billed until all of my items have been shipped, which is totally bullsh*t because I am looking at my bank statement right now, and it has been charged thrice for the same amount (the switches) on 3/8/01. Only one of my orders have been fulfilled, but all of them still say shipped on their website. They are also telling me that they do NOT have an ETA of their products. It could be next year for all I know....jeeze louis, what bad PR

Call and dispute your card.. tell them the story and not to allow the charge untill all of your switches come.

I talked to a CSR on Friday the 23rd of March. My second switch has been shipped and tracking shows it almost here. Note that on April 1st Buy.com goes to email only! No land-line!

Part of the excellant service I got from them was the ability to get in contact with a 'warm body.' This sucks!

for those of you that ordered more than 5 of them, how many boxes did the switches come in. i got an email from buy.com saying that my order has been shipped. i checked my order online and see 4 different tracking numbers, none of which are valid as far as pulling anything up from UPS.

I got both of mine today and both were in the white box with blue lettering. The promo sticker must indicate that this is the switch they planned on as the free one. The must have run out of the retail package and had to send me 2 promo boxes. As far as the plug being different, not the case for me. They are the same standard computer type plug with flat pins. I have only tested one of them so far as one is for a friend of mine.

Got my two switches yesterday. The outer boxes were not sealed very well. If this is typical for buy.com (where both switches came from) I doubt I will buy from them again.
