This is a great deal! I have the older version of the Barricade, and I love it. The only thing I notice that is significantly different, is that this model does not have the built in print server functions.

Yep, also missing serial port (so no analog dial-up support).
Still AWESOME deal for broadband users. best price I've seen in a long time on something like this. Firmware may still be a tad flakey, so be sure and keep it updated if you get in on this deal.

I was considering getting the linksys befsr41, but the price is better for this router. Which do yall think is better? I cant find many reviews for the smc, and dont see near as much info so im not sure how good it is or how it compares.

techb*rgains.com has the SMC router as reccommended equipment and a brief review-not sure if its the same one or not. J & R also has several other SMC routers listed on their site, some of which have the print sharer, etc. but this one and the wireless (120-20 MIR) are the only ones with a rebate.

what did you mean by your comment about getting the rebate-its so ambiguous you convey no concrete information. Looks to me like this is a J & R rebate. J & R has been around forever (I bought stereo equipment from them since the early 1970s) and I never had any problem with them.

I'm very tempted to buy this router, also.
