You can stuff shorter gtx 680s and the other stuff in a Silverstone SG05 but you'd be limited to the 450w psu. That said the 450w psu is enough for the gtx 680.

The I believe the SG08 has a little more room and comes with a 600w psu if you feel you need more power.

Edit: After looking, yes some Gtx 680s fit. Look for ones close to 10" and with the power connectors on top of the card instead of the end.

LIAN LI PC-TU200B

Looks like you could even water cool it, ooooooooo. That would be fun.

The 680 will fit in that lian-li just fine but unless you pull the drive cages you'll be limited to a small number of short(140mm/5.5in) atx power supplies. All of the kilowatt psus are too long with the cage in.

I used to have 2x6950's + a 460 for physics, and a big water setup, so yeah, it's overkill now...I have a FS thread to sell it all, then i'll just get a 650-750 seasonic or something.

Holy balls vivi.

460....for physics... way overkill

Check out the Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced and Lian Li's various Mini-ITX offerings. Silverstone's Sugo cases are bundled with power supplies and Bitfenix's Prodigy is rather large volume-wise.

the Cooler Master is pretty ugly.

The SUGO05 looks good, but you can only use specific PSU's?

I am thinking the LIAN LI PC-Q08B or LI PC-TU200B

what are the biggest differences? I read that the TU200B might not be very good for gaming, which is what I will do.

The most powerful PSU that fits in the SG05 is 450w. There are two versions: the non-modular version comes pre-installed in the case for $130 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811163208.
The modular version must be purchased separately for $97 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256084.

The PC-Q08 will work, just leave the bottom drive cage out. It will also allow you to use "normal length" ATX power supplies, something like a Seasonic X750 Gold should fit just fine.

I've been trying to look, but does the Q08 have better cooling than the TU200? I really like the idea of using a non proprietary PSU.

I don't know the hard numbers but

TU200 = single 140mm in
Q08 = single 140mm in, single 120mm out

I am thinking of getting a smaller case, what will fit a GTX 680, and a 1050W PSU? Biggest thing here is SMALL in size! Only needs room for 1 ssd 1 mechanical drive.

It's a good time to upgrade from my i5 2500k too

If you are willing to go with a mini-ITX motherboard, there is the BitFenix prodigy. Lots of options for water cooling in it. Anandtech gave it an editors choice award.

The TU200 is just a modified Q08 basically. They removed the top fan and beefed up the case's strength along the ridges. The Q08 has better case cooling IMHO because of its two case fans. You could just get the Q08 and mod a handle to it or get a harness to carry it around and get the best of both worlds between the two.

Smallest case that can house the GTX680 is the SG05 and it's basically limited to the 450w psu that comes with it. The included 450w psu runs the GTX680 just fine. I have seen a mod or two around here that puts in a 500w variety. Forget who did that but if you need to keep it simple (non modded) then just go up to the SG07/08 model. It's 600w psu is very good and the case and psu allows for even bigger GPUs.

there's also the fractal design node 304, I'm not sure how it's priced in the US but here in Denmark it's quite reasonable.

It isn't on Newegg, but it is $90 on Amazon. I am really happy with my Arc Midi, so I would imagine that the Node 304 is equally well put together.

I wouldn't mind an Arc styled ITX case from them.
