Smokin' Hot 2.4 GHz Cordless Phone System: $29.22 OD B&M

[Drait]

For those of you who didn't get the opportunity to buy these base units and handsets a friend of mine talked to the people who didn't quite support the Cygnion products but had financial information regarding their bankruptcy. What he found out from this person (who happened to be the head financial person handling the whole issue) was that Ericcson (or ex-Cygnion, however you look at it) has a TON of stock left on all the Cygnion/CyberGenie products. Unfortunately due to the bankruptcy they can't sell any of it yet. But the guy said to call back in about a month or so and they would most likely be parting with these at whatever prices they could get (i.e. liquidation).

I'll be checking back with them in a few weeks and will update accordingly.

I just left the Overland Park CompUSA with a semi-successful price match. I got a base unit for 49.99 and 2 handsets for 19.99 apiece..

I pricematched at CompUSA in New Jersey. I got really lucky though. I called and have them set aside their last Cybergenie set. When I got to the store I grabbed the first employee I saw who was the head manager. He grabbed it from the back and gave it to a clerk at a counter. Then, when I made my way through the line I handed over a printout of the OD website showing $29.22 and he assumed that I had discussed the pricematch with the mgr. Needless to say I left in a big fat hurry. Now that I have a NJ receipt I wonder if that'll give me leverage in other CompUSA stores...

I went to CompUsa again this morning.....different manager tell different story.
He told me that he wouldn't take any pricematch if the OD near here doesn't have it in stock.
