Has anyone had any problems with the Caller ID not coming through? I have caller ID and when I call myself from my cell phone my caller ID box show the name and number, but the CyberGenie just says "Line1" and rings? Of course cygnion doesn't have any support so I am hoping to get something from you guys...

I had caller ID problems. I have Verizon and it was doing exactly what you said. I only messed with the phone for about an hour, then put it away so I didn't ever see if the Caller ID would start working.

Do you have Verizon? Does the Caller ID nt work at all or is it intermittant?

I have Bellsouth here in SC, so far as I can tell the Caller ID never worked. Yet it works fine in both my Panasonic cordless and my bellsouth Caller ID box. I have looked in the entire manual and nowhere does it mention anything about having to setup Caller ID. It just says that Caller ID is passed through to the handset, and that the handset doesn't ring on the first ring so as to get the caller ID info.

Scanned receipt from COMPUSA. The price is not the same as OD, but since most people want the handsets, this might be a better deal anyway. I hope the fact that it doesn't match up exactly with the OD receipt hurt anything. This is the cheapest I could get them to sell me the units at.

Not to try and be overly simple, but does having the caller id unit inline with the cybergenie mess up anything? I have caller id, not sure who supplies it (at school), and it works fine. Just thought I should give you hopes to keep trying. I did nothing special at all for it to work.

"Synchronization lost .. automatically restarting PC application" Then it hangs forever trying to synchronize. And I have to reboot to sync it up. Sux.

Mine did the same except sometime on boot up. to have it ReSynchronization, turn of power from CyberGenie and it OK. Paint so I never connect it to PC and just use it as a stand alone phone.

Got one today...I went to OD to copy some manual and found the Cybergenie in their clearance table. I hope it's not a return...everything is intact inside the box. I haven't installed it yet so hopefully it works. They gave me also an additional OD warranty for whatever it's worth for the $29.22 total.

Ben, thanks for the help, but I have the caller ID unit on another phone. The Cyber Genie is directly connected. I think I might open up one of my other basestations and see if it is the caller ID functionality or the CyberGenie itself.

Well I took out another basestation and handset from another box, and the Caller ID still did not work. I guess it doesn't support bellsouth's caller ID service. Oh well

Bummer! I was planning to do the same tomorrow at my local Compusa...will try anyway. There's no harm in trying.

I am having problem to install the software. I keeps installing the Ms messenger, and still does not detect the messenger and can not finishing installing the software.
I have the MS millelium
Any ideas how to install it?
