I bought one of these phones but cannot get it to work. Handset says no network and will not accept the authorization code for the base unit. Can anyone help. I have reset the handset and reinstalled the software to no avail.

If the handset says "no network", then you need to subscribe your handset to the basestation. Turn your handset on and use the arrow keys to find the Basestation menu, choose yes, then find the Subscribe menu. It will ask for the pass code that you set in the software for the basestation. If the phone is locked. Pull the battery and use the serial number that you see as the code. Good luck

I could put a basestation on hold (no handsets in any Fry's anymore) as the manager won't go down with the price.
He didn't believe any other manager would sell it at that price you mentioned.

I could also get some headphones (those with the buttons and overhead clamp, not the "earplug only&quot for $15 each, so if somebody is interested, let me know.

It is really comfortable and has 3 different ear "rings" for different earsizes.
But it gives a small noise (like random static) over the headphone, even if there is no call.

I have zipped the CD with maximum compression and it is only 56MB.
Now I am searching for a space to upload it for those who miss the CD.
Could anybody recommend a place?

I tried idrive and xdrive but don't feel like referring zillions of people to get the advertised "100MB" space.
And splitting the Cd up is also a hassle....

and put "cybergenie1" in the visitor box at the bottom.

FYI

Idrive has HORRIBLE download speeds... you might want to reupload it to freedrive.com or juston.com.

Unless things have changed I've been getting d/l speeds ranging from 300bytes/sec to 1K/sec and I'm on cable.

I'm interested in buying a headset to go with my phone. The cybergenie headsets are nearly impossible to come buy. Anyone know if I can use a regular phone headset with the cyber genie? I remember reading a post earlier about the phone not working properly after attemping to use a non-standard headset. Anyone try it?

Don't think the Cybergenie headsets are that hard to come by - just picked up 5 sets at one of the local OD.

Right...but they could potentially mess up your handset...

It happened to mine...when I unplugged the headset, the handset still thought it was plugged in and couldn't be used without the headset...

Luckily I bought two kits from OD though!

Didn't pick them up necessarily for the Cybergenie sets. Seemed to work good in other regular 900mhz or 2.4ghz phones. If it works with my Cybergenies, just an extra bonus. Nice to combine these closeout units (and other closeouts) to the $50 threshold and then use the $15 off $50 coupon to maximize the deal. Pretty hard to pass up.

The headsets don't work with the Panasonic and with the Vtech.
Mic is too quiet.

Hmm I just bought 2 handsets from Compusa and Im wondering if they would pricematch from the OD link??? Anyone try this yet? BTW the Salem, NH compusa has one handset on the shelf selling for 79.88 at the register. I didnt ask for someone to look out back to see if there was any more in stock. i paid 79.88 for these cuz I couldnt find them cheaper, and had no proof that they were as cheap as they were from OD =( Maybe Ill try OD's link at a compusa to pricematch if at all possible? BTW I hope I didnt violate any rules as this is my first post here! And ty for that hot deal!

Well OD just updated their website saying that its unavailable! but compusa is marking them down, so keep on the lookout!

However there seems to be conflicting info in your posts. Initially you say you could get them for $5 and they are "really good". In a later post you say $15 and that they have static. Are you speaking of the same headset in both posts?
