Could people please also say whether or not with these new deals if they had to re-sign a 1yr contract?

Thanks!

<< i wonder if i can get the same result by whining to other service carriers (ie cingular, att)... >>

they ALL do this ... and it doesnt apply to phone providers alone... i remembered when i signed up for the AOL 1 month free service (HAHA)... i tried cancelling many times and ended up having 6 straight months of free service.

my sister has gotten ALOT of deals like that... it helps when you're a female and have a soft spoken voice

How many people with corporate discounts have gotten these deals? When I called and told them I'd like to cancel, they looked up my info and saw that I'm on a National Volume Pricing (NVP) plan, and switched me to a business rep. The retention department over there didn't offer me deals this good. Hmm, maybe I'll just have to give it a shot again?

I am currently on Sprint's $49.99 family plan. Add the $10 per phone and it's $69.99. When I called Sprint they said this was the best family plan they could offer me. I asked about adding the two phones to the $35.99 deal described in this forum that they offered to me (for a total of $55.99) but was told they couldn't do this. Has anyone had a different experience?

I got the deal, and kept 8 Pm nights and weekends...

Thanks so much for this post. I was starting to get pissed with my service, but he also alerted me there were 6 updates for my phone. Maybe service will imporve and I have a better plan. If it works out I will be happy with them again.

Last week I talked to them about getting a problem fixed, and to add 100 min for $10; anyway I wound up with:

600/5400
1000 pcs-pcs (used 1st during primetime)
wireless web
voice command
$45.xx (w/ my discount)

i finally got around to calling them today, here is what i got:
at first she woudl only offer me 500/1000 for $36 (i was still on the old 500/1500 for $50)
w/ a 1 year contract $30 phone credit, 2 year contract $100 phone credit
so i mentioned that a "friend" had gotten a 650/3000 for $36
she checked...took a while, but then gave that to me
but was only able to get the $30 credit w/ 1 year, supposedly they coudlnt give a 2 year contract w/ this plan
didnt inquire about a free month...was pushing more for a phone credit

i am on the business plan so i get another 20% off very sweet deal!

Wooo hooo, I just scored as well!

450 anytime minutes
2000 n/w minutes starting at 8pm
1st incoming minute STILL FREE!!!!
$.25/min overtime charge
$30/month

Couldn't get the $30 service credit or free wireless web though
However, I did get a new phone from them two months ago when I complained about the quality of the service and threatened to cancel.

Thank you everyone for sharing your negotiation process and your new SprintPCS deal. I am currently using family sharing minutes plan like some of you, paying $49.99 + $20 for add a phone service. The minutes I got is terrible, 500 air + 1500 nights and weekends. For long, I have been looking a new cellular phone and a more competitive rate service, but I really love Sprint?s free roaming and free long distance services.

After reading the post. I called the customer service last night. After complaining about bad quality connections and undesirable rate plan, the rep transferred me to the cancellation department. There, another rep started to offer me deals so I would keep my service. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a deal for add a phone promotion. He suggested me break my current account into 2 separate accounts. He offered me $35.99 for 500air + 1000 nights and weekends (well incomparable with some of the deals you guys got). However, I am more interested in the air time minutes. That means for my 2 phones, I will be able to get 1000 minutes air together. The balance for the 2 accounts will be very close to my previous plan but with more minutes. I then started to mention about the deals that some of you got, like 1st incoming call, 8pm off peak starting time. I got them both. I told the sales that I would think about this offering and called back again. He said whenever I decided, just ask the rep to transfer to the cancellation dept., they will know the offer I got. I am in the process of getting more nights and weekends minutes. 1000 minutes is really nothing compare with some of you who got 4000 minutes.

BTW, I just want to mention to those who are thinking about calling. The rep would pull out your past 3 months usage and decide what kind of offer they want to give to you. Just be careful with that.

Along these lines...I am a voicestream customer and my contract ends this month. My LCD went out on my 8290 and voicestream said they would replace it for free since I am under contract. Well, I forgot to mention to them I took the old phone apart and when they got my old phone they charged me $75. I called and yelled at a CSR for a while he said there was nothing he could do. Told him to send me to cancellations.

Got an Account Manager on the phone gave her some BS about how I was trying to find out if I cancel if my phone stops working at the end of the contract, the billing cycle or the month. (I can't really cancel my cell phone I have resume's out with only that number on it) She informs me that she has more power than the CSR and is willing to work with me. I tell her I would be happy to sign another year contract if they take off the fee for the phone, or they could send me a 3390 and I would send back the 8290.

She was awesome and was like, how about if I just send you a 3390, take off the $75 fee and sign you up for another year, and don't worry about sending back the 8290 because she not allowed to do that.... I love this stuff. Time to go call and AT&T and tell them that they are too expensive and I want to cancel and see what they will do for me. I am addicted to this!

For those on shared minute plans: We are on a one year contract, and couldn't get them to budge off of 1k anytime /2k nights and weekends (beginning at 8pm) for $74.99 + $20 for the two phones. However, they had no problem adding 500 mobile to mobile (Sprint only) at NO CHARGE.

Guys thanks a lot . Guess what? I just got offered with 1300 anytime 3000 night & weekend for $49.99 or
700 anytime + 3000 night & weekend for $39.99. Both of them comes with free wireless web. I guess the key is to talk like a very polite bastard so the rep will actually give you her pity. Then it's the time you start negotiating by telling her what she can do to make you not to switch to verizon or any other carriers

I went ahead and take the 1300 anytime since I have no home phones and I alwways went over my 500 minutes anytimes for $49.99.

Life is beautiful!!!!!

here's what I got. It took 2 tries becaue the first CSR wouldn't give me anything.

My Plan:
$34.99 with 200 peak and 1000 n/w. Free long distance. 3 months left on contract

"Hi I'm under contract however I'm thinking of switching plans because a lot of the other service providers have more minutes for less money. What can you do to keep me as a customer?"

At first she offered me their promotional plans found on the website for $39.99 for 200/2800. I complained saying that's too expensive. She asked me what my budget was. I said something near the $30 range. She offered me 500 Peak and 1,000 N/W with Free Long Distance for $35. I said that's great, do you mind if I can think about it first then call back? She says sure, why don't i give you $30 service credit towards a new phone, 1 month of free service, and 150 extra minutes to your current peak minute to help you think about it. I said great!

I am going to call back later and say the CSR offered me 500 minutes and 1000 nights and weekends for $30 with free wireless web and see if I can get it. I am also going to see if I can get more service credit towards my phone cuz $30 is way to little to put even a small dent in any of the decent phone nowadays.

Had the 400/1600 deal for two phones for 69.99, plus a small 5% USAA discount. Called CSR Mike and explained that I was on a month-to-month for the last 4 months and here is what he gave me... State Alabama central location.

750 anytime
4600 N/W starting at 8pm
long distant included
first incoming minute free
500 pcs-to-pcs minutes
$30 credit
next month for free

stayed at 69.99 but lost the 5% USAA discount, but that is recouped in the $100 savings from the credit and free month

Haven't had a long distance phone bill from Sprint in well over a year..

Just need a suggestion on a better phone that the Samsung 3500!!!!
