Okay, check this out.

Sandisk 512mb Sansa player, pretty good reviews on it, basic player w/voice record and radio.

$99 bucks at Best Buy Sansa 512 MB

Now this isn't advertised, but it automatically comes with a $50 gift card to BB. Hot deal in itself.

Now, your best bet is it go to customer service directly to ring up. Either print this out, or get ahold of the circuit city ad for this week where they are $65 bucks!

Sansa at CC for 65 bucks

So we have.....
$99 PM to $65 - $50 gift card for future use = 15 BUCKS for a 512mb name brand MP3 player. Not bad in time for the holidays. But like I said, ymmv.

Hot?

I got mine for $40 AR elsewhere, no having to deal with gift cards nor BB.

Just a notice that this deal is quite subject to whether you want to look anywhere else for one, as the initial $94 price is extremely high for this product, doing a Froogle search hits dozens of stores selling for $6n.nn range and it gets even cheaper after rebates when available.

Now the other issue, does one need voice recording or would they rather the SD memory slot on the Sansa e-Series rather than this m-Series.

when I try to order online and pick up at store. The MP3 with gift card offer has no store pick up option. You have to wait for shipping. I don't want to do that.

This was $39.99 out the door on Black Friday. I got mine, & I'm lovin' it.

EDIT: BTW, I got coupons for 2 free months with Napster, 1 year of Rolling Stone and some audio books outfit deal w/my m230. If anyone wants 'em for cheap, PM me.

Hey THANKS, this was a great find. I was looking for an MP3 player to give for Xmas.

I went to three Bestbuy's and at the first two places, I was able to price match the item with No problems. At the third place, the manager came over and said I couldn't get both deals (the price match price at $65 AND the $50 gift card) because in their "supposed" price match policy fine print, they didn't allow double deals. Thus, it is Totally dependent on who is managing the store you go to. YMMV is true, but it's worth a shot in my opinion. Good Luck!

By the way, if you return the MP3 player to Bestbuy after Christmas, you might get $99 store credit (that's their advertized price). Thus, Initial cost: $70, total return: $50 gift card plus $100 store credit = $150 back. Total return is plus $80.

so this unit doesn't support an expandable memory card slot?

Got one with no problem. Tried again at another BB and was 30 seconds away from walking out the door with it before the manager came over after she noticed the Price match form the cashier was filling out after the sale and put the kibosh (spelling?) on it. Will try again tonight at the original BB if the roads aren't too icy....

Whoa, great deal! Just picked up two. Thanks slippy4twenty!

Went to one BB, and was greedy  So, instead of showing the ad at the cashier and getting $65, I thought I'll buy it for $99 and go to cust serv for 110% PM, but of course that guy turned me down (either GC or PM, not both). So I returned the player and went to another one.

Here, not so greedy -- got to the cashier with 1 player, who was very surprised that CC had such a lower price. Just when he was about to finalize checkout, I asked him whether I can pick up one more  (they had a few on a table right next to the counter) -- the queue was long, so he let me . At $20 each (incl tax), nuthin' can beat this deal!

Worked fine for me. I picked up three of them for $64.99 a piece, and $150 worth of gift cards, which I used up the same day buying more Christmas gifts. Great deal!

I really dont understand why people count Gift Cards as "free" money or even compare it to a rebate. You still have to spend the money at BB.

I got the 2 gig version, and i have to tell ya, for a very small mp3 player that supports wma, as well as just about every other format... its great. Drag and drop for ease of use, as well as an arm strap and a decent cover for it inside the package. Worth every penny.

I got this one for 120.... 2 gigs...

I have been looking at getting this exact player as a christmas present. How does it work?

You bring up the mp3 player to the register with the ad. They price match it there and once it rings up they notice they have to provide you with a $50 gift card? or is it a mail in rebate for the gift card?

Any help would be appreciated. I hope to try it out tomorrow.

You get the card instantly, HOWEVER, this is ymmv cause not every store will give you the PM and gc. Funny thing is, I went into my local BB and PM'd the Mp3 player to CC and got the 50$ gc. I go back later and they say that I can't get both...

We bought two of these on Black Friday but returned them last week.

MP3 player works just fine but the FM radio SUCKS. So if you plan on using the radio, DO NOT BUY THIS.

That's kinda expected from small MP3 players. Your earphone cord acts as an antenna so using cheapie buds will do that to you.

For folks in Louisville, KY - I was able to pricematch to CC at St Mathews store, however was turned down at Outer Loop. Still, quite happy with the deal.

I would beg to differ. I've tried two other small(er) MP3 Players from Samsung and Creative which worked just fine.

Ok UPDATE... I went to circuit city scoured the store for a circuit city ad since they were out of them at the front of the store. Found the ad and was off to best buy. I found the Sansa 512 up front and lo and behold they had hundreds of them there and on top of the rack a BIG SIGN saying $69.99!!! So I went and checked out and was too excited to even bring up the ad. I got 2 then and there used the gift card from the first transaction to get the second one. So for 100 incl tax i got 2 mp3 players and a $50 gift card.

I walk out of the store and called my brother to tell him bout the score. We decided we wanted more to give as gifts to make my little niece's and nephew's christmas. I went back in and got another 5 and this time used the circuit city ad and got them to pricematch to 64.99 (instead of 69.99). So those 5 came out to be 19 bux each.

All in all, I got 7 Sansa 512mb mp3 players and a $50 gift card for $200 bux. I spoke to the lady who did the PM and she said she normally works in Customer Service and I can bring the first two receipts back in to get the other $10 back for the first 2 i purchased at 69.99.

The lady didn't mind PMing for me at all and I think i could have even gotten more if I really want too!!!!

THANKS OP!!!

EDIT: For anyone who cares to know what store I was at...Its the one on Federal Highway in between Sunrise and Oakland Park in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Without even a PM the regular in-store price is $69.99 with a $50 gift card...so great deal even if shot down for PM. And you can keep duplicating it and get addt'l ones for $20 + tax each.

Went back to the original BB and scored another one. Was even rung up by the POS Supervisor, and she commented that I probably shouldn't get the gift card in addition to the PM but gave it to me anyway Might try one more tonight.

Smoking!!!

This deal is based upon who you speak to, went to the BB in NE philly on the boulevard no go, went back about 5 hours later took it to the register, no problemo. Now my wife is headed back out to another to try to sweeten the post even more, using the 1st BB gift card to pay for a large portion of the second player, well we will see how she makes out in about an hour or so. Now can anyone show me where to find a workaround for the license deal, it will be beat if I have to loose all the live and rare stuff I have, Thanks OP for the hot deal.

THanks OP, scored one with no problem in West MI.

Cashier had to make sure that it was ok to pricematch an online ad. Other than that it was super easy.
