I read over the fine prints on the rebate form and don't see any such requirements/restrictions (though the fine prints are really "fine" so I could definitely have missed something). All I see is the standard "not valid with other rebate, offer, etc." clause, but I don't think this applies to the dollar off coupons. YMMV.

Don't be naive! How can you return without the UPC barcode where Staples will need to scan if you return it? Don't even try it.

Secondly, the posts above already said about illegality of your &quot;suggestion&quot;.

And lastly, you will simply not be able to do this since the rebate requires an ORIGINAL UPC barcode, that you must cut out of the box and mail in. Once you do that, you cannot return anything.
