Here is my tale of this hot deal:

BOught one online last night and it is on backorder. Called this morning just to check stock of my local OD. They had three, told them to hold one for me. Price is 199.00 I go to Staples to get a price match and the a$$hat manager would not do it. So I cursed his FAT ARSE and told him i was going to contact the corporate office and tell then what just happened. I went ot OD. Picked it up...it rang up at 398.00....DOH...but, display says 199.00...SO manager, mister doopty doo, looks it up, obviously the mistake had been corrected this morning....but I STILL GOT IT FOR 199.00 WOOOT!! ALso , someone mismarked big time, to commercial grade radio communicators....these fancy walkie talkies were on clearence for 149.00....someone put the big YELLOW price clearance tag of 14.00 bux on them....lady had to calle the manager again. Their screw up made nice for me. 700+ dollars for the merchandise and I walked out with 249.00 THANKS guys...

IF the other backordered PALM is honored, I will have an extra to sell at cost plus shipping for anyone who wants it.

Unfortunately, it's not just backorders. I had placed an order for one early morning yesterday and it got cancelled as well. Last time I ever trust online.

I just got back from my local OD where I purchased two of them. They were OOS in the store but the CSR placed an order for me. It rang up as $398 but I told her it was marked as $199 on the shelf. So she put the order in at $398x2 then went to a register and credited my CC with difference of the price. All in all I paid $420.23 - 5% (for Star Teacher thing, my mom is a teacher). They should be here on Monday.

Ordered mine yesterday for instore pickup. Get there this morning and the guy says its OOS. He looked around but could not find another one in the area. He then ordered it from their warehouse, and gave a 200$ discount on it. It's supposed to come in on monday. IM crossing all my fingers for it to come in. Will post the results.

order 4 on the 1st, too freaking lazy to pick it up. go in to the store today, and as everybody guess, they cancel my order. anyway, they have two in stock, so the manager said that she going to give it to me for the $199 price. she is so nice and courteous. so, i scored 2, took me almost 5 mins, . my brother is so happy now, because i bought the other one for him.

anyway, big ymmv, if you meet a nice manager, he/she will let you have it. the grumpy one just going to say no.

This is kinda late, but I finally scored one. I took my online order receipt and brought it in for store pick-up even though it was not in stock. I played dumb and was polite. The manager said it was a price mistake, but to come back in one week when it's back in stock and he will honor the price!

I returned this past weekend and got the T3 at $199--Even used my $15 coupon! I was so grateful I ended up buying $90 worth of other stuff

Now I have a T2 and a T3 . . . time for another sequel

This was a killer deal, I went to OM and pricematch it for $199 and got a free mailstation 350 worth $199. I, then returned the mailstation at another OM for store credit ofr $199+ tax. A week later, I went to circuit city and do an even exchange (w/o receipt for the Canon s400 digital camera. so basically, I put in $200 and got $600 worth of merchandise.
