First off, I'm a reformed smoker. I quit two years ago after smoking for ten years. I'm not saying ban smoking here, I can sympathize with people who are hooked on these things. However, whenever you decide to fill your store with more smoke than a strip club, that's the moment I decide to never stop at your store again.
Normally I make my morning Red Bull stop at a gas station that doesn't allow smoking, but this morning I went to the one next door instead. Big fncking mistake. When I walked in it literally took my breath away. The smell alone is enough to gag you.
I watched the lady at the register take about five quick drags as she saw me coming to the counter. She handed her cancer stick to her boyfriend standing at the side, who was quite dismayed to have to stop combing his mullet and put out her butt. She then held out her dry wrinkled nicotine stained hand for my money, her fingers looked like they had some form of fungus too boot. I let her keep the change.
The stupid part is that I've noticed that this sort of crap only seems to happen in the smaller, independently owned gas stations. You'd think if it were your own business you'd try not to loose customers by giving them lung cancer.
Also, while we're on the subject of smoking in enclosed spaces where there are others who'd rather not breathe in that crap......what about parents who smoke with kids in the car AND with the windows rolled up.
I'd like to take those people, put them in their car with the windows up, and a hose from their tail pipe to the interior. See how they feel about breathing in some nasty sh1t against their will. For christ's sake, it's 2005, not 1955. We know now that THAT KIND OF CRAP IS HARMFUL TO KIDS. In my opinion that should be an illegal offense punishable by jail time or having you kid taken from your dumb @ss.
Thank you for your time.
