This seems to imply that they could feel justified in taking your order, and then charging a "market price" of $300. This didn't stop me from ordering one anyway, because I could always take it up with the card company, I guess.

It's a 160GB drive!! The last thing you should be thinking about is "do I really need this?"

If you order it and get it, but find out that you DON'T need it then sell it on Ebay and make a $200+ profit.
