I've just had something very wierd and disturbing happen to my system. I had just finished unhooking some fans from my motherboard (Iwill KK266), and then turned on my system. To my horror smoke started pouring out of my case and the power switch would not shut the system off, so I unplugged the powersupply. I looked in my case and found that the speaker wire which goes from the motherboard to the case speaker was very hot, and clearly had been melting and causing the smoke. I looked over the motherboard to make sure no wires were touching it and plugged back in all the fans. Once again I powered up the system and smoke came pouring from the speaker wire cable yet again, however this time the power switch was able to shut the system off. Before this incident my system has been working fine, although the case speaker has never worked. Currently I have the speaker wire unplugged any everything else on the system seems to be working fine, anyone have any idea what could possibly be causing this?
