I sent a price match request to NCIX for the MC $149.99 weekend deal on the 2500K CPU and within a 1/2 hr it was approved! I just received my invoice via email. The nearest MC for me is 350 miles away and I would have to pay sales tax. With NCIX I got FS and no tax!

The price match thing i bet bites them in the butt. You know how easy it would be for some retailer to constantly undercut them to put them out of business. heh NCIX has some great deals and website is pretty awesome. I got that NOW OPEN sale deal for Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Mid-Tower Case for $150 free shipping. Sure its 5 day from California to here, but still worth it.

Thanks for posting. I'm finally jumping on the Sandybridge bandwagon.

Just add everything to your cart as usual. Go to your shopping cart and at the bottom is a "Start Price Match" button. Click on it, add the 149.99 price, and put in the Microcenter URL, complete the transaction, and cross your fingers.

Have a hard time deciding since I had not planned to upgrade my system until probably black friday. I dont know if this is a sign of what is to come or if I should just buy this now and hold it for 2 months. If it is $150 now, id assume around black friday these could be even less.

Very nice. I, too, was always frustrated with seeing all the in-store MC deals I didn't have access to since my nearest store is 400+ miles away. Although my Q6600 has been an absolute workhorse for me over the past couple of years, I've gotten the itch to upgrade it. So I had to bite when I saw this deal.

Now I have a 2x4 DDR3 kit, the 2500k and a Corsair H50 water cooler/radiator. All I need now is the best bang/buck mobo, just like Corporate Thug.

I just built on an ASRock P67 Extreme 4 Gen 3 with a 2500k... Nice board, good features, reasonable price from Newegg (155). Haven't played with any overclocking since this is to be my father's rig. Some of the ASRock utils are annoying, but that's a personal opinion mainly on their UI choices.

What's with NCIX wanting us to pay extra for insurance past the first $100? They word it as if you are on your own if you don't buy the extra insurance even if the product gets lost or damaged before it gets to you.

I've got a 2500k running on a Gigabyte Z68-UD3H motherboard and it's been absolutely rock solid from day one. Running 4 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance LP (1.35V) RAM on it, too, without incident. Also have an Intel 510 250GB SSD on it...again, no problems with setup or running. I'd tried a 40GB Intel SSD using the Intel Storage tech. thing as a cache drive for a WD Black 1TB hd before I put in the 510 SSD, and even that worked well.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gigabyte Z68 boards right now, although the BIOS is old school. I wasn't bothered by that but seems some people are "offended" by it, so just an FYI about that.
