woot for seasonics. Loving my x650 i got a few weeks ago on sale. Modular design is very clean and well made cabling. SATA and molex connectors all share same type of plug and conveniently interchangeable that way, but other ones are unique so you can't plug the wrong wires into anything.

Thanks for the heads up. I am in the middle of a build and I just canceled an antec earthwats and pc power and cooling PSUs order to get these Seasonics.

Cheers

I took advantage of this... my new passively cooled Seasonic 400 has been very nice.

Just bought another x650. Such an amazing PSU. I was extremely tempted to get the fanless for a home server build, but decided against it in case i need to cannibalize the server at some point. I'll have a backup to my main machine too XD.

These are very hot deals, especially the 460 fanless for a sweet HTPC system.

Ordered the 650w Gold. I hope it is worth it

I plan on doing a rebuild of my current I7 920 system around christmas time. Keeping my cpu, motherboard, ram. But plan on upgrade my hd4890 to a hd7950 or hd7970, and replacing my case and psu to minimize noise. The antec twelve hundrend will be put in a closet, as well as my corsair hx1000 since I no longer bother with crossfire (I at one time had 3 hd4890s but I sold two of them to friends.)

Anybody has a case recommendation. It needs to be full atx size (for my current motherboard), with the emphasis on being quiet. I also prefer if it does not have led lights or if it has led lights the lights can be turn off.

Unfortunate choice of wording in the title...

LOL...didn't think of that one. But yeah, I think most folks know these Seasonics won't literally be smoking any time soon.

Congrats to everyone who got in on these. I love my x650, which is fanless up to about 250w. Amazing...makes me wonder why I would want the fanless models, and yet I'm still so tempted!

Would the 650 be enough for 2 GTX 570s and OC'd 2600k? Anyone have this PSU with an SLI'D system?

Any true difference between this and the newer X660?

I asked Martin, the author of Anandtech's x560 review, what the differences were between the x-60 series and the older x-50 series. Here's what he said:

"Well, not much. But the advantage is they have chosen better transistors. In addition the heatsinks for those SR transistors are larger now and the position of some components is different.

Fine tuning."

And here's his x560 review: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4217/seasonic-xseries-560w

Great deal, but not as good as the past. I think they sold for $90 and they had the deal for 750w $110. I jumped on both those deals.
Currently using the 650 without issue and sold the 750 as a package deal to a fellow member.

These are definitely great psu's. I haven't been in the market for a while; so I do not even know whats out that compares...maybe corsair. Definitely can't go wrong with these.

I might have to see how much my wifes 2600k is pulling and move her to a lower wattage psu; so I can use the 650 elsewhere

It is the same model. When it was reviewed in Oct. 2009, it was considered to be the best 650w PSU on the market, and not much has changed, except that it's $110 instead of $180.

thanks, i figured as much since there is now a -60 series. Ordered one, and another 12gb of ram
