You would be amazed how much stress gets relieved when I can publically post how utterly stupid your entire line of thinking is. I never said the tobacco killers propoganda worked on everyone. I was fortunate that my parents never smoked, so it was not in my house as a behavior model.
If you don't think that the tobacco companies are guilty of selling a deadly product and lying about it, and covering up all that they knew about it to decieve the public, and bribing public officials to keep their product on the market, then you are either oblivious to any and all information sources, or you are at least as big a MORON as you think anyone who starts smoking is.
Even morons have a right to be protected against predatory marketing of deadly products. In fact, morons probably need more protection, simply because they are incapable of making an informed choice. The same is true for children, even bright ones, who have not yet developed the common sense that would later protect them. Of course, under your philosophy, it would be too late for those who are already addicted.

INFORMED, not blinded, by emotions. These assholes have killed my friends an family. My anger at the tobacco companies is immense, but it is neither uninformed nor irrational. Speaking my mind about the subject is my right as a citizen, as is acting through the legal system to bring them down. Blinded would be bombing their corporate headquarters or taking it upon myself to kill the bastards, neither of which are on my agenda.
