it's vertically flat, horizontally curved. i think it's the original trinitron tube as opposed to the FD trinitron tube.

Well, I'll probably regret it when I see my credit card bill next month, but I couldn't resist either. I have a 17' inch Sony, which is the ONLY brand of monitor I'll buy. So, if it was any other brand besides Sony , I wouldn't have bothered. I like my 17 incher (monitor that is, but like I said before, couldn't pass this up.

I'm still trying to find some more info on the monitor, but the reviews I've seen have all been great. The only thing that worries me, is that it is an older moniter, a few years old anyhow.

By the way, the price when this first came out was $1,799 freakin dollars!!!! (I saw an old review at PCWorld). I still see it listed at some places. "Street Prices" had it for $599, and some other crazy vendor (called "Bootsector.com" has it listed for $950......I think he's a few years behind on pricing or something, because you can get newer models for a few hundred less).

Anyways, this was a really good deal.I'll have to see what it looks like when it gets here. At least they have a 30 day money back guarantee, and some pretty good reviews at "Reseller Ratings" .


Worst comes to worst, I can just send it back and get a refund.

Don't let low Ebay "completed auction" price scare you. The Ebay guy is selling monitors for local pickup only. If he shipped, I think they would go higher.

It is a shame I already have a 21". This is a nice price... even for refurb.
