SN41G2 & SN45G Questions

Hey All,

I'm trying to decide between these two boxes. Right now, because of the $30 rebate from Shuttle, you can get the SN41G2 for a couple bucks less than the SN45G. I'm sort of leaning towards the 41G2 since it has video/TV Out built in... if I ever stop using it for gaming it would still be a nice little multi-media box.

Anyway, my main question has to do with unlocking. Since both of these are NF2 based, does that mean that both can be used to change the multiplier on AMD CPU's? If they can change the multiplier, is it on all Athlon/Duron CPUs or only the newer ones?

I have the SN41G2. There are no overclocking options to it - no adjustable vcore or multipliers, although you can adjust the FSB. Great little box, though, and if you are adventurous, you can always manipulate the vcore and multiplier manually via different mods...

Haven't seen the SN45G, but it's supposed to have overclocking options, which, I assume, would include the missing vcore and multiplier options.

I have the SN45G, it has adjustable vcore, vmem, vagp. It also has adjustable multipliers, and it has an nForce2 Ultra 400, so it officially supports the 400 MHz FSB. I had no problems changing the multipliers on my 2400+.

Thanks... just ordered the SN45G with a 1700+ (DLT3) CPU. Most seem to do anywhere from 2.1 to 2.5 GHz on the nForce boards. I'm only looking for about 2GHz, so I should be ok.
