Several of the manufacturers do that for retailers. Different model number on basically the same drive. I think it's so most of the time, other stores won't price match it because they don't carry the "same" item. Same thing as with the "CompUSA" hard drives which are Maxtors. Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. don't carry ComUSA drives... It also used to be that the "special" drives had different warranties, but now that most of the drives are going to 1 year, I think that's no the case as often anymore.

Depending on how trevdiresforu is getting access to the scans, posting them could be a big problem for him. As in he would lose access/get fired. If you don't like the way this thread is formated, don't read it. There is a reason almost all of the websites that had scans of the ads closed down.
