SNES Classic Extra Controllers?

Anyone hear ANYTHING about individual controllers being sold anywhere at this point? Or if not, anything about when they might be? I still don't see them anywhere. I don't have a SNES Classic but I do have a Wii with emulation. SNES is a rough go with a GCN controller and I don't really care for the White Wii controller they released for playing Virtual Console. I really want a true SNES controller straight from Nintendo to plug into my Wiimote.

I have seen others posting about animals chewing through cords of their existing controllers, or other tragedies that make them need another one, and they just aren't out there. I know the system came with two, but that doesn't mean people don't want them.

Come on Nintendo, give us extra controllers!

There's not a whole lot of point to selling individual controllers, since this time around Nintendo included two controllers with the system.

I have one of those for Retro Pie and it's great.

No it uses the same connector as the original Wii did. No USB on it.

Like Zerocool said, it isn't. It is a controller connection of Nintendo's own design. I actually do have one of those iBuffalo ones. But it's for PC or Raspberry Pi emulation gaming. These are the same as the bottom of a Wiimote. NES Classic controllers work on a Wiimote and so do SNES Classic ones, but they are not selling SNES Classic ones separately like they are with NES Classic ones. Granted the NES Classic only came with one, so if you wanted 2 player, you HAD to buy another, so they made them available. Just wish they would get on with it already and release some for the SNES Classic.

Yes, yes there is, like I said, I've seen many posts, people complaining of mishaps taking out one of their controllers and wishing they could get a replacement. The market is there. Maybe not a large one, but it's there. Suppose we are just going to have to wait until it is big enough to warrant releasing them separately. It's business. If they don't think they will make money, they won't do it. =(

They REALLY should have used USB. That should be kind of automatic in this day and age.
They could have been really up-to-date and made them USB-C. Or is that asking too much from Nintendo?

No, it's not, as the Switch and the Switch Pro Controller both use USB-C. Though for something as simple as a retro controller I don't think USB-C is really necessary.

Have no interest in third party ones, they never feel right, ever. I have played the SNES Classic, and the controllers don't feel the SAME but they feel good, you can just tell they are first party.
