The one good part about being a kanukk in winter, is that at least you guys know how to clear your roads. Small-town Oklahoma has gotten sleet all day and except for the highways everything I've seen is near impassable because we're all like "wtf lol"

I miss night shift.

Midnight - 9am was lovely. The drive in was very quiet, and by quitting time, the morning rush is mostly gone, and all the stores and businesses are open.

For the first time in my 16.5 years of working at the same place, my boss closed the plant tomorrow (I stayed home today too). Nothing but ice...well, the roads aren't really 100% ice covered but the everything else is (parking lots, cars, trees). Roads are "slushy" at this point.

I'm in NY and have a winter storm warning. I got home from work about 1.5 hours ago and just starting very light slow. Haven't looked outside since.

The excellent part is this morning my window wouldn't go back up (again). This storm was forecast a day or two ago so I knew now would be a bad time to have it stuck down a few inches. Last time (last week), it magically worked the next morning. I really hope that is the case again, and I'll learn my lesson not to keep using the damn thing until I figure out the problem. If not, I'll need to get some plastic up there tomorrow morning. Bah, waking up even earlier FTL!

They're expecting by time this is all over tomorrow afternoon, there to be anywhere from 5-10" of snow, and a good amount of ice, somewhere between .10 and .25".
Columbus is basically right on the border of the shit.

Basically directly South of Columbus is going to get raped by massive ice amounts, while North of Columbus will be getting all snow, in a large quantity.
