The wife called, freaking out and wondering if we should go buy a kerosene or propane heater. I'm hoping our gas fireplace will be enough in the event of a loss of power.
Junior year of HS ended the Wed after July 4th.Seriously - CT will close schools at barely a dusting. I did my senior year up here and we had so many snow days that our graduation date was pushed back by THREE WEEKS! That blew a third of my summer, lol.
pushed back to when tho? without snowdays our HS graduation was almost in july anyway

Snowing like a mofo here in Central IL right now. In 30 minutes the ground is covered.
I so wanted to put one of these in, but went over budget in two many other places. Had to cut it out. Still might consider adding one in again some day.
Calm before the stormFunny how today has been a nice bright sunny day, not even a hint of what the next two days bring
It was the first thing I bought when we started on the new house. In fact I had it tucked away in a garage before we even finished with the design and chose a builder.
More like anxiously in awe over this thing.
I need to get some 2 stroke oil and a few more gallons of gas... sounds like I might be "stuck" at home, one can hope!!!!
snowmobile time this week finally!!!! WOOOOO
Yeh, you guys see way more ice and wicked thunderstorms than we do, so I can understand the priority. The generator itself is about $4,000 right? How much extra in labor and parts did it cost you to have it set and wired in the house?
Got my can filled up yesterday, for the snow thrower though. Not shoveling this much snow again (ran out of gas during last storm)
