For the east coasters saying they got nothing, isn't the big dump supposed to come in the next few days as this system moves through the midwest and pushes east?
not anymore. here is the latest weather.com reading for my zip.

as of yesterday night, it said that both today and tomorrow was going to be freezing rain all day.
No flakes yet near Windsor, Ontario. Bracing for the storm that I have pre-emptively dubbed WILLIAM WALLOP.
Hope he lives up to the hype. Craaazy storm hype here.
Why did I come into work today?
We got a dusting in Saint Clair Shores last night.Woke up to about 2 inches here in Metro Detroit, nothing fancy but pretty cold outside. They are standing by the 10-15 inches though for later on today.
Check the map on weather.com, it's coming...
I already crushed the hopes of 3 periods of students who thought we'd have a snow day tomorrow for sure. (They have a test tomorrow, so no reprieve from that.)
NOAA predicted 2 inches. I'd say that there were 2" +/- 1/4" this morning when I went out to the car. Hasn't snowed at all today since sunrise (yet.) I've found that NOAA is generally the most accurate of all the forecasts, because it's not sensationalized.
So, overnight, 2". It's winter. Big deal. We're supposed to get a couple more inches later; we have the road equipment to deal with this. We have the potential for 1/10" of freezing rain on top of the snow. Hurray, that'll make the branches all pretty. But with the salt/slush on the road, it's not going to make the roads bad. 1/10" of freezing rain on bare roads = dangerous. On top of snow covered roads = a little slushy.

I live in the country about 25 miles South of downtown Tulsa. We started getting freezing rain about 9:30 last night, it turned into thundersleet around 11pm and snow about 3am. Freezing rain totaled about a tenth of an inch, sleet was close to 3 inches and the snow is somewhere between 12 and 14 inches from what I can tell.
The wind is howling and we have some wicked drifts out here. Well, wicked for Oklahoma anyway. Snow is piled up on the garage doors about 3 feet high already. I'm sitting in my office at home with a nice cup of coffee and a freshly baked piece of banana bread.
I live about 50mi west of you then, and we didn't get any sleet/freezing rain at all, I was expecting a lot. Just got about 8-10" of snow so far. drifts in parking lots reaching 18", in the wide open. I work with some guys in the haskell area near you, but I haven't heard from them. Have you heard anything about power outages out your way?
No, haven't heard anything about that area. Did heard that they closed I-75 beginning at 201st, that I-40 is closed beginning at Okemah and that part of the roof at the Hard Rock Casino/Hotel has collapsed.
Just got in and after dealing with major bus delays and my boss tells me I can go home and work from there today and tomorrow. Thanks for telling me now!
6-9" today, 10-15" tomorrow and another storm on Saturday. No place to put the snow.
Heard Dallas airport is closed due to ice. Would have been a great year to have a Super Bowl up north in this crap.
Are you thinking it's passed already? the system that dropped a couple inches on you is not the system that the snowpocalypse is all about. the big one is still working its way NE.
