We had the Christmas Eve blizzard in 2009 and the motherfucker of an ice storm in 2007. Both were a lot of fun.

as far as straight snow i mean. xmas 09 was bad, but there was only like 3-4" of total accumulation and christmas morning I drove 50 miles to tulsa and back in a fwd fusion without problem. the 1.5-2" of straight up ice left us out of power too for about 6 days. We have all-gas heat and a big generator though, so it wasnt so bad.

When I was younger, maybe around 00-01 or 01-02, I remember a couple winters with nice 8-10" straight snowstorms, great for playing around in.

Ahhh...its Julie "The Chipmunk" Chin!!! That girl is waaaaaaaayyyy too damn perky.

She's the reason I don't watch the weather anymore. All I need is their interactive map (which is truly awesome, it's great living in a state with such volatile weather, the local affiliates are experienced and have big budgets) and the 7 day forecast for my highs/lows

Of the locals I think Travis Meyer is the best. Nobody, except Gary England in OKC, could touch Jim Giles as far as knowledge, accuracy and professionalism.

Well we probably have almost 1/4" of ice on stuff around here. They are still calling for 1/2" more tonight.

well this "storm" has been very disappointing. Yea, sure we got out of work... but theirs hardly any ice. I was able to easily chip it off the wife and mother in laws cars this morning so they could get to work. hahahahaa!

but really... what a letdown.

Where are you located? We got significant ice here with more on the way.

Nothing here until supposedly 7PM tonight. Have to listen to old people whine about it right now. Half tempted on going to Microcenter to pick up a new power supply for my WHS.

Then you're either way south or it hasn't hit you yet

Portsmouth NH, here. Weather service just updated their forecast. 4-8 inches today. 1-3 inches tonight. And 10-13 inches tomorrow.

We've had so much snow here this year that the main problem city officials are dealing with is where to put it all.

I dont get what the problem is. Portmouth is a bay on the Atlantic ocean right? Dump the snow into the water.
