So a man is climbing up the face of a mountain when...

I'm just not seeing what to do here:

A 50Kg can exert 750J/s of power. How long will it take him to climb a 900m mountain?

I can't be the only one on this board taking physics. You don't have to solve if you don't want to, just point my in the right direction. Heck, any direction would help.

I may not be understanding the question correctly, but are you saying that you have a 50kg person climbing a vertical distance of 900m and that person produces 750J/s of power?

You know that

work = force x distance
power = work / time

You are given the mass of the person, climb distance, and power. From there you should be able to use the two above equations to solve for time.

wait, no

i would use f = ma but break acceleration up into distance/time^2 and solve for time

You think that's a hard question? My Video Production and Editing Group just wrapped up shooting, and after just capturing the video of our first shoot (about 2 weeks ago), I see that the most important shots of the first scene were taped over by our camera man!!!

shooters sounds good to me

g=gravity (9.8m/s^2)
W= 50*g*900
W= 45000g

750 = 45000g/t
t = 45000g/750

t = 60g = 588s

You could also look at it as when he reaches the top he'll have a potential energy
PE=mgh
Then at a rate of 750J/s, how many s to get to (PE=mgh=45000g)J

Its all the same math.
