So, a guy I know started a business in china. Turns out loads of women there wish to meet western chaps in order to get married and get TF out of there.

He met this woman, and he invites her to go for a meal. He goes to a restaurant a couple of days later where they had planned to meet. She walks in and immediately asks if they are to be married. He explains that that's not quite how these things work where he's from. She bursts into tears and runs out of the restaurant.

Do those personal ads really work? I mean... I have little time to go out, so something I can do at work would be nice and have a slew of responses and/or pixxxx when I get home so I can properly screen everybody instead of just hitting on girls that may be complete morons in bars.

I've used them in the past. Overall it's been alright. It's definitely a good way to get laid, a lot, in a short period of time, if that's what you're looking for (it was at the time for me).

I've heard stories of pierced condoms or women fishing the used jonnies out of the bin, etc. It's all quite desperate, and would surely prevent me from ever having a relationship with a chinese girl over there, despite their gorgeous looks (I prefer Japanese women, anyway).

Sounds terrible, but for them it's a small price to pay to live in pure luxury (over here, even a fairly poor person to our standards lives the life of a king compared to the badly-off in China).
