Hell, I?ll be voting for him not because he?s black or white, but because McCain is no conservative. I judge people by their actions, only the racists will play the race card.

so, because McCain isn't conservative enough... you'll be voting for an outright liberal?

You may not have noticed but conservative is the bad word and being liberal is good.

The truth is the OP's comments are very much relevant and on target. If this campaign has shown us anything, it's shown us that sexism is MUCH more tolerated in this country than racism (perceived racsim, even).
Constantly here and elsewhere I have seen people criticize Hillary for her looks, her voice, being a bitch (a common perception of powerful women), for not being sutable to lead the country because our enemies will see us as weak with a woman leader, etc. All of these things are based in sexism but nobody is offended much by them.
Now imagine the same types of criticism against Obama based on him being a black man. I could give you examples, but I won't because the mere mention of any would immediately have people screaming "racist" at me. Obama is basically immune to any type of critism that could in any remotely possible way be construed as racism.
So yeah, racism >> sexism. It's much easier to attack and demean a woman than a black man.
What I find sad is that women in this country cannot get behind a woman candidate. Blacks have rallied behind Obama almost universally. You would think that women would like to see our first woman president, something to show their daughters that women can do anything in this world. The unfortunate truth is that women are mostly sheep and followers of their men, and they are frequently very petty and critical of other women.
We may never see a woman president.

Man, you are way off. it is unfair to assume that people do not like her b/c she is a powerful woman. She is a powerful woman, but she is also a bitch. As oppose to m wife who is a powerful woman but is not a bitch. Power and bitchiness are not the same thing and are not perceived as the same thing by the voters for the most part. People are very familiar with clinton and her striving to make a name for herself and then pretending to give a damn about the country... as well as her sordid past. That is how she became known as a bitch.
The truth is, if she were truly a powerful woman, she wouldn't have needed to be a bitch. when one is powerful, they do not desire to have power over others. their own power is sufficient for them. Only the weak seek to become powerful.
edit: also, sometimes the powerful come into powerful positions naturally or as part of their passion. This does not describe HRC as she has striven to gain power. There is nothing natural about it- this is another thing that is very unappealing about her- her seeming thirst for power, not the power that she actually has.. which is little to begin with.

There is only one solution: nominate Oprah for President.
Then you can't accuse Americans of being racist or sexist.

And you think any presidential candidate is not in the race for power? You make me laugh.
