so at my new job @ Gateway

i started about a month ago doing tech support for gateway. i do tech support also we can do sales on computers/parts/etc. well i was surfing the hot deals forum and saw the thread about the gateway 21" LCD. then i read a dell thread where people where giving specific tech's names to call to buy items from. is there some rule against putting my extension in the gateway thread so people can buy from me and help a fellow antecher out? I cant hook anyone up w/ any deals but if the person is planning on buying it anyways it would it be wrong to ask them to buy it from me so i get a cut?

i dunno if its a referral per say. b/c u still buy it from gateway, its just the matter of who from gateway you buy it from.

But I doubt it's price is close to the $384 Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW.

yea, i don't think anyone else can come close to Dell as far as the price... but i haven't see any sub $400 2005fpw deal lately

Dell deals have been sparse lately. No blockbuster LCD or laptop $750 off $1499 coupons

I could really use a $750 off $1499 coupon on a Dell XPS M140 laptop

I feel the same way. I don't personally have a problem with it since it's helping the people on the forums, but the fact that you work for them and get commission is going to yell for a ban. You can just post something in the forum saying you can get a better deal and have whoever wants it just PM you.
