*agree* with organprinter. Some episodes are too Westernish to my taste, but overall it's a great show. I guess they went over the budget or something cause there is no sense to cancel a show that good. btw, Stargate sucks big time comparing to Firefly.

Never saw Firefly, but Farscape just sucks. Think I'll stick to the Stargates and/or Star Treks.

FireFly is a different style than Farscape. Farscape is comedy / scifi, FireFly is western / scifi. I have not talked to anyone that has not loved FireFly.

Great show, really pulls you in. That there were only 14 or so episodes just makes you mad. Well, well work $15 and your time to watch.

Fox was really stupid in cancelling this. Now we're just left with crap reality shows and carbon copy steakhead "family" sitcoms. I don't watch network TV anymore since everytime I turn it on there's either some washed out B-actor trying to get another 15 minutes or some fat schlub arguing with his way-too-pretty wife about who drank the last of the milk... utter and complete drivel. -end rant-

I like Firefly as much as anyone, and can see it being called one of the best contemporary sci-fi series, but to call Serenity the greatest sci-fi movie ever is a bit over the top.

That said, I'll be adding this to my "must buy" this week list.

Are people looking for the ad located in places that don't have a Target? Not being a smart-ass, it's a real question. I'm in MN though, and we are pretty well flodded with them. I have a 15 minute trip from work to home and pass by two of them, and a third is only 5 minutes further beyond my house. I guess not everyone is so "lucky"?

Picked this up at BB pricematching at Target along with Team America: World Police Team America Official Site for $4.99!

On pricematching at BB, their official store policy is not to give you the 10% off of the difference if they price match at the time of purchase. To get the extra 10% of the difference, you are supposed to buy at full price, then return to do a price match AFTER the purchase. I had a hardnosed CS manager who stuck by her stores policy when I bought this there for $14.88 pricematched. This is a heads up for those who might be expecting that extra 10% off of the difference at purchase and do not get it.

however, can a poll of 3,000 SFX peeps who have never heard of "Forbidden Planet" all be wrong???

I'm not saying which way I would have voted in the poll, but just wanted to point out that it was an opinion poll, not a "know your current events" survey, so there is no right & wrong.

oops didnt see this post about their hair-splitting way of doing things -
yeah I did the wrong thing and asked for the price match at the counter and the CSM would only do the price match, not the extra 10% -
well $16 isnt bad for the complete series anyway (but $40 retail for 14 ep's - sheesh)
