Hahaha, that was a gem. I am sorry you lost your job, but I don't know what's funnnier, your boss saying that or you believing him.

<< I think both of them have a few screws loose, but I also thhink that when it comes to the economy, Clinton and his wife of course, was heads and tails above Bush. I also personally think that bush had used the tragic events of 9-11 to cover up or evade the fact that our economy sucks right now. People need to focus less on the fact that clinton lied. This is politics, are we surprised? All politicians lie and they all can't stop humping everyone they see. I think we need to focus on the fact that when clinton was in office, we all had jobs, or at least most of us. I was laid off of my job last friday, and I was told specifically it was because they could no longer afford to have me, "thanks to Bush" says my boss. >>

Texmaster said this incredibly stupid sh*t:

Oh come on. That was American Business. Gore had at most 2% to do with it.
>>

Wrong, it was the proliferation of the Internet that caused the boom of the 90's. While republicans are correct in saying that clinton had little to do with the economic progress, gore's bills and initiatives to advance internetworking and telecomm technology while he was in congress should be credited.

<<
It was proven that donations came from money in China including the head of the CIA then months later the Chinese got permission from the US government from to laugh satillites from US Missiles and a year or so later they jump 30 years ahead in missile technology.

All that takes is common sense.
>>

It was proven he took donations from the Chinese, but it was never proven he was giving nuclear secrets to China. You've been listening to too much Limbaugh again. Also, this part of your post makes absolutely no sense: "Chinese got permission from the US government from to laugh satillites from US Missiles and a year or so later they jump 30 years ahead in missile technology". Learn some english please.

<< There goes your "unbias" account. LOL Thanks for remaining so predictable Phokus. >>

Compared to the conservatives who go "CLINTON IS THE MOST EVIL PRESIDENT EVER" (you included) and the liberals who go "NO HE ISN'T, HE'S THE GREATEST EVER!", i think i'm pretty unbiased.

They say that fear is the externalization of internalized suppressed inclinations. If so than the right winged fear of a takeover of the government by some outside agency must have been a reflection of an intention, recently realized, to take it over themselves. Not a problem though, because they are the real Americans. The majority, who voted for Gore, and in Florida too, don't really count. Amazing that the ones who wave the flag the most, the hyper patriots, cheered as the government was siezed by the election looser. Purgery is serious business, the subversion of the will of the people by a Supreme Court coup, though, is of no relevence. WOW

<< DaveSohmer do yout think democrats are evil? Seriosuly, you sound like you do. >>

The short answer is no. I just tend to agree with the GOP a lot more than the Dems.

For your information, I never said I beleived him. However, I did accounting for that company and you can be rest assured that I did lose my job because of our bad economy. We were barely making enough money to cover the bills, and we had to lay off 30% of our people for that reason as well.

The economy would be better with Clinton still in office?? Really, where's the prove. What did Clinton do that helped the economy? The President typically has little to do with economic conditions. Would Clinton and the Democrats have cut taxes as much as GWB? In this atypical time infused as much cash (spending) since 9/11? Not likely.

Al Gore and the Dem's did have a tax reduction plan proposed. However GW Bush got into office and most of it went to the top tax brackets, and to big companies. A company like Enron, if they were still operating, would be getting back a rebate and tax credits for years 1986 to the present. That is typical of where the Bush tax cut was.

I did my taxes the other day with the TaxCut software, and my projected tax rate is going to be virutally the same for about the next 8 years. So where is the famous TAX CUT that people are taking about? It surely can't be that measly $300 rebate check.

And don't forget, that the senate tax committee changed and reduced the amount of tax benefits that the rich people would have before passing the GW Bush proposal, otherwise, the rich would be even getting more tax breaks, while a middle class wage earner like me gets next to nothing.

Who else but GW Bush can take a giant budget surplus and put the federal government in a deficit even before the 9/11 attacks?

To me, it seems like Bush and Clinton are mirror images of each other in the way in which they come across to the public. Clinton is obviously intelligent in a bookish sense, but seems to lack simple common sense at times (Monica Lewinsky being case in point). Bush exudes an aura of common sense, but seems like a bumbling idiot at times in speaking ("I did denounce it. I de-denounced it. I denounced interracial dating. I denounced anti-Catholic bigacy... bigotry.")

The conventional wisdom about both men both contains a grain of truth, but is untrue in the general instance, IMHO. Obviously, neither Clinton nor Bush are nitwits, they both come across as smart but normal human beings, who make mistakes at times. It's just that you and I don't have the entire world watching us 24/7 waiting for us to say something silly because we're totally looped after being jetlagged from a 20-hour Washington-Tokyo flight, and projected on CNN 20 seconds later, and jokewriters for Leno and Letterman making a living from making jokes about what we say during the day.

Why, exactly, are they mutually exclusive?

Well Dave try Einstein . . . "you cannot simultaneously prepare for war and prepare for peace"

Hebrews12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord

2Cor10:3-4 . . . For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh . . . for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;

Granted I don't like Ecclesiastes Ch3 very much but I imagine it would go over well at DOD.

Also, it seems like it's a doctored image since the lids are hanging off the bottom.

If you had a half a brain, you would know what's dangling beneath is called a lanyard. You put that around your neck so you don't have to carry the binocs. Moron.

And maybe he is not as outdoorsy as Bush, but hey, world wasn't handed to him on a silver spoon, he had to work all his life to make it.

Cry me a river liberal. You make me puke!

A lot of people can question Clinton's judgement wrt to Monica, but I think it's pretty clear that he is a very smart guy.

If you use your smarts to deceive people....jeez! Will you ever learn? I guess it's ok in your book to get whatever you feel you need without regard to how it affects other people?

You make me sick!!!!!

Name one non-governmental job Clinton held before becoming President.

Einstein-brilliant physicist; mediocre philosopher.. I don't know how a country would "prepare for peace". I'm a little dissapointed that you quoted the bible in your reply. Your posts are normally not theological in nature. My thoughts on this (and they are admittedly, skewed to a certain view) was a peace through strength outlook. The word "deterence" comes to mind. It is obviously advantageous to be able to deal from a position of strength, however I would have preferred a balanced budget over increased military spending. There is always an over-reaction when something big occurs. Equally damaging however is when the pendulum swings the other way and an over-correction occurs. Happened after Viet-Nam and again after the Gulf War.

Bloody moron. You're the one that makes me puke. Typical that the only thing you have to add is b!tching... Interesting criteria for defining who's got half a brain or not. Why don't you learn to put that dictionary away and add something intelligent? Either that or go away. You're giving the conservatives a bad image.

Not withstanding JellyBaby's intersting reply, my question still stands.

What non-governmental job did Clinton hold before taking office?
