Azuza was 1.52 couple of days ago. Will update when I refill on Tuesday. In my experience, Azuza has always been a couple of cents lower than Alhambra. What a deal.

$1.99 for regular and $2.19 for premium. Cheapest place in town here. Thankfully its usually not too busy though, although I guess there aren't too many people here.

im jsut wondering on some details.

I have a costco card but it has been expired for a few months. Do they scan it or something? Or do they just look at it and let you buy?

And are these stations 24 hours? Or are they only open when Costco is open??

thanks guys

Damn wish the costco in Santa Barbara sold gas. Cheapest I've come across is $1.76 and they don't accept anything but cash.

According to Gaspricewatch there is a BP station selling gas for $1.47 on East Victory Drive in Van Nuys. There are almost always places that sell gas at least as cheaply as Costco that don't require you to pay $40 a year (or whatever) for membership, plus they have human attendants who can accept other forms of currency than just credit cards.

I couldn't imagine paying $2 per gallon. I believe I would stay at home.

Us here in California got super expensive gas prices. In Fresno they just opened up a new Arco, nice part of town, and unlike most Arco's, they take all credit cards, no surcharges, $1.49 for reg., which is about a dime less than other stations in the neighborhood.

Thank goodness that Costco doesn't get gas from ARCO. Here in Cailfornia, ARCO has a high percentage of alcohol in it. They do this because it burns 10% cleaner....it also gets 10% poorer mileage so it is all an exercise in foolishness.

<< Was in Costco Torrance yesterday - regular gas is $1.51 / premium is $1.62 .... the lines were about 10 cars deep. Article in local paper says the Costco gas lines sometimes get 50 cars deep.

(This might not sound like a great deal to people in other areas, but most stations are charging about $1.80 reg / $2.00 premium around here)
>>

Just to make you sick, regular is $1.23 and premium is $1.43 in NW Ohio right now

Why do Californians have to pay this outrageous price for gas and electricity?

Electricity was around $100/month last year, now over $200/m..

want to move out of here.. but where to??

Up here in WA state we still pay about $1.50 for regular and $1.80 for premium.

have you guys in so cal been checking carefully when you gas up? Yesterday I was in San Gabriel and gassed up at a 76 station and saw that the prices were letting off a bit BUT then caught that they lowered the quality of gas.

I usually pump the highest grade gas 92 ONLY TO FIND THAT THEY LOWERED IT TO A 91 OCTANE!!!

They lowered the 89 to a 88.5 octane rating. What the heck is that? It used to be 89. I think the gas companies are still ripping us off, but are being sneaky about it.

Prices here (St. Louis) have dropped all the way to $1.13 for 87 octane unleaded -- me and my SUV are lovin' it! (and to think I was about to buy one of those little gas/electric hybrids to save money!)

Costco in Sterling, VA was $1.40 for unleaded last week. At least 20-30 cents less than most places.

Does anyone know of the actual benefit of buying premium gas? I remember my chemistry professor told us that for most engines, it really didn't make a difference.
