Yep and it was fun as hell

After about 11 hours into MP I must say that it truly does blow. Think about it...all you need to know are a few good spots per map, that's it...no skill, just the right spots. How that makes this a great game is beyond me.
SP has been OK. I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out. MP gets a 4/10

I just got this game yesterday, and I must say it is fantastic. I only played through the first two missions on SP before moving onto MP. However, once in awhile I'll get a BSOD, with stop error 0x00000124. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this from happening? It only happens with this game, and I've tried updating my video and sound drivers like some Google hits suggest but nothing has worked. It's getting to be a bit annoying.

Does anyone have any good Hardcore servers that they could recommend? I was playing on "Deadbonesplatoon" server last night and that was pretty good. I might try and set up my own server. I know that you can run a COD server on linux, but does anyone know if you can run it on a linux virtual machine through VMware?

I love the game but it was too short, which was really disappointing.

Just got this game today and I don't like it at all. The SP is nowhere near as good as CoD1/2's, neither is the MP. A friend brought the 360 version over and we played 4 player TDM offline, at first it was lame because I kept getting airstrikes and helicopter raids, but after we disabled those it was great fun. I figured the PC version can only be better.
No servers with less than 150 ping, no servers with choppers/airstrikes/perks disabled, 30 players typically on a server with maps designed for half that amount = spawning on top of a grenade or with a gun already up your ass, constantly. If you just started good luck ranking up with any sort of proficiency using an MP5 while trying to take down maxed rank players with multiple perks and semi automatic sniper rifles/dot sighted assault rifles and scoped P90's. Walls in the future are apparently made out of paper? Have fun trying to build a custom class in the 5 seconds you get in between each round, because it can't be done while a game is going for some reason... or you can disconnect everytime you unlock something, and refresh a list of 12,000 servers all over again trying to find one that isn't full with less than 150 ping. Oh and if you get kicked from every server with a PB Init Failed error, don't forget to update Punkbuster manually, cause apparently Punkbuster is about as capable of keeping itself updated as it is of keeping people from hacking, a lot of good that new background service that's running 24/7 on my PC is doing.
Keep your lameass RPG elements out of my FPS, I'm tired of these hold-your-hand console designed shooters being ported over to the PC. First it was TF2 with its critical hits and soon to be class specific special items, and now it's CoD4 with it's leveling system and perks. I wanted a post WWII era CoD, not a BF2/R6:V/Hellgate London mash-up pos. CoD4 is a step backwards from the first 2, not an improvement. A week ago I was joking about how overlooked UT3 is, wondering why anyone would buy it, and now I'm thinking about picking it up because it's the only true online shooter out right now with classic and balanced gameplay.

Ok, I just finished the game, and well, it took me a moment to realize I had actually finished it, which is never a good thing.

I knew immediately when the game was near the end, especially how they set it all up.

I guess I just wasn't paying attention, which is probably my fault, but if the story had been more interesting I think it would have been able to hold my attention to the very end.
