So... CoD 4

Anyone actually buy it yet? If so, is it fun? I've looked into this game, and I hope that it is as fun as Call of Duty 3. Well the multiplayer for CoD 3 was fun. It had the same old boring do everything yourself war game campaign. So yeah like rate it on a scale of 1 to 10.

This game looks like it will shine in Single Player. Multiplayer, doesn't seem to be much hype. UT3 might be a better multiplayer game, and keep this for single play, no?

Word on the street is exactly the opposite. The SP will be a bit shorter than the past couple games and they've really focused on good MP.

As gorcorps stated, I heard that the MP was to be the focal point of the game. COD4 and UT3 are going to be the only two games I'll be playing these next few months.

I played the hell out of the MP Beta on the 360, it was loads of fun and performed very well. If the PC MP gameplay is anything like it's console counterpart, it will be awesome.

played the demo last night. The SP game looks awesome. If the multiplayer version is the same as the SP, then alot of people will be switching from BF2 and BF2128

Wal-mart site says it ships tomorrow so they won't have it until Thursday most likely (if true). Looks like its out according to the EB site.

I also played the 360 MP demo and thought it was great, almost a cross between battlefield and counter strike. I went to Circuit City over lunch and they said they aren't releasing this until 2:00 so I'll have to go after work. Also CC is offering a free copy of COD3 if you buy the 360 version, yes I know this is the PC forum, just wasn't sure if everyone knew. I wanted to get the PC version because I like the keyboard/mouse better but everyone I know is getting the 360 version, so that's the way I'm going to go.

I just ran through the demo with fraps. I was hovering around 27fps. No lower than 23 no higher then 32fps. Thats half the features turned on and med. settings@1024x768. My cpu is slow!

I'd personally rather have the PC version, but everyone I know is a console gamer and not PC gamers.

I'd rather play with friends over XBL using the controller than play with random dipshits just so I can have KB+M.

I wonder if the 360 version is just as good. For example, Bioshock on PC and 360 were both great. I heard they had parallel development teams. IOW: it wasn't just a lame port.

How short is "short."

I've never been big on the COD MP games, but I really liked the SP. All I hear is that the SP is "short," and I wonder how short is it?

I hate to pay $50 for the game only to be utterly disappointed in the length, and crave more more more.
