So do you like John Stockton?

He and Malone played great in their prime, remember those thrilling Bulls vs Jazz playoff's, kinda like the Kings and Lakers. I haven't been watching him play for a while now, but I respect his "game" and some of the things he did in the NBA. BTW congrats for being named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players.

I like him better than that flopper Malone. Can't stand that guy.

Stockton and Malone will soon be seen together again. They will be starring in highly anticipated yet inevitably disappointing films because of their superb acting yet inability to perform.

And to really answer the question, I have respect for how good he is. Without the dirty tricks I would truly like him. He is second only to Malone on my least favorite players list though. Without him and possibly Malone, Utah might really learn to play rather than act for some calls. I'm not sad to see him go.

Inability to perform?

Karl Malone ? I think he's one of the best Power Fowards in the game.

Malone is good when he plays, but he has gotten lazy on defense. Rather than play somebody straight up, he would rather flop and try to get a call. It works well early in the game, but the refs get bored with it. And after nearly 20 years, they should have won a ring together. They are good players, but they don't make the players around them better.

They don't make the players around them better... more like they have crappy players around them..

look at ostertag... he's such a waste for a huge ass player.. he has no presence. Who else do they have ?
they barely have anyone besides Malone and Stockton... ( meaning players that can actually score )

AK is a all around player I think... but I think they need a better bench.

I think Karl Malone should go to another team.... although I would like to see him retire at Utah..

They don't have good players, but they should at least have people that can shoot in clutch time. Despite the passes stockton can deliver (which usually wind up in Malone's hands), none of the other players contribute anything. For some reason Malone and Stockton don't provide their team any confidence.

I think Malone should change teams as well if he really desires a team. With the trade, it would help Utah out. I'm not sure Malone could fit in quick enough to make a Championship contribution before he retires though. If he transfers to a championship caliber team, he might hurt them more then help them.

Best pure point ever I think. Magic did play the position better (taller, better shot, etc.) Stockton was just the epitome of the ideal teamate, a consumate good guy.

They play the game good. Probably the greatest duo ever, but that is "opinion". They maybe dirty, but who cares, that is the way it has always been played and there are other players who are much worse. Acting is part of the game. Jordan did his share as well and he is the greatest player(maybe tied with Dr. J on that one though).

Those two have done so much off the court that they on court antics shouldnt really matter.

i'll have to agree with that

Their dirty play and acting is too much a part of their game. It really takes away from how good of a player they could have been. I didn't like watching Jordan when he played for the Bulls either. Dirty and Selfish. He was good enough to win though.
