I see someone's still pissed off that they don't serve spider at buffets.

I thought there's another Manna in San Gabriel, but I don't think it has "all you can eat".

and thanks 112 for other recommendation.

Sometimes its just nice to gourge yourself cause of the restrictions we place on ourselves sometimes. Chat among buddies, have drink or two, etc. See which person quits first etc or eats the most.

thanks Eghck;
for all this time in LA I never heard of it... :shame;

be careful which direction you're coming from. if you're coming from the west (i.e. east on olympic towards downtown) you can see the sign in english. if you're going west (from downtown) the sign is ONLY in korean.

manna is on the corner of olympic and st. andrews or gramercy i believe. there's a white sign on the corner thats not too high. parking is right behind the restaurant. valet for $1. if that place is packed, there's others that you can go to. most all u can eat places are similar in meat quality. some are a little better than others (in my opinion).

about my previous post. brazilian bbq is also all u can eat. if you've never experienced it, waiters walk around with various types of meat and you pick and choose what u want to eat. its more expensive than korean all u can eat, but its also a completely different type of "food" i guess.

i tried Brazilian BBQ before, the meat was kinda dried and overall the experience wasn't too fasinating. I will give it a second shot; I believe there's one Brazilian restaurant in La Puenta Hill mall.

I prefer "bloodier" / rarer meat, and in Korean BBQ I can control how "done" the meat is.

I never really understood the point to all you can eat. Why purposely gorge yourself simply because you can? We're not animals that have only food come once in awhile.

never heard of this place but sounds like it's worth a try!

Yep that's the place. Easiest way to get there is take 10W exit on Arlington make a right. Go up to Olympic and make another right. It's about a block after that on the left hand side. Can't miss it. It's got a big yellowish/white sign that say's Manna. Enjoy!!!

i dont know of any Brazilian BBQ places in La Puenta, i think the closest one i would know is Greenfield in West Covina. In LA, there's MGrill on Wilshire, there's one in Glendale called Gaucho's Village, Fogo de Chao is probably the most upscale Brazilian BBQ restaurant on La Cienega in Bhills. Usually they ask you how u want ur meat. There's portions where its cooked longer for those that like it well done. If u dont want to pay too much, the farmer's market on 3rd has a little brazilian bbq place that serves by the pound. I guess if the meat is dry u can always add the salsa. which is how a lot of people eat their meat anyway.

how much are them? let's say, the one in West Covina or the one in Glendale? (the other two sounds very pricey )

Yeah it's like the international house of galbi. They are the ones that has a commercial on american cable television and when you go there it's mostly american people. But for the price I regular korean guy like me would go to a hole in the wall.

There's a Brazillian BBQ place in the La Puente mall off the 60 fwy and Azusa. I don't remember the name of it, but it's just a few doors down from the AMC theatre.

sorry i dont know how the original quote option works, but im replying to andylawcc's question about pricing.

mgrill : costs i believe 28.99 per person. www.m-grill.com (again, i dont know how to link)
gaucho's village : last time i went, was around that price
greenfield : last time i went, was 24.99 (i dont know how much it costs now)

basically most brazilian bbq places run mid to high 20s.

fogo de chao (www.fogodechao.com) costs the most but its probably the best i've had. i paid around 120 (incl. tax & tip) for 2 people. which is probably how much it'll cost u to go to a upscale steakhouse like mortons, ruths chris, nick + stefs.
