I still dont get the, pay for your food yet still have to cook it yourself. For the money I'd rather go to Greenfield for the Brazilian BBQ. Yummm...skirt steaks.

It's part of the experience. Chinese and Vietnamese have this as well, but it's with broth and meat/noodles instead.

I know but I just want to pay and eat. If wanted to cook I would of just stayed home and cook.

yes, I know there's one on Las Tuna in Monrovia/Temple City.

Las Tunas is pretty long, whats this place called?

oh.. I didn't expect anyone would ask to such detail
anyways, it's called Sake Grill. It's actually on LIVE OAK pass Santa Anita towards the race track.
kinda in between 605 and Santa Anita (which is still a long stretch). It's before the Golf Course as I was told. needless to say I never been there before. but it's all-you-can-drink and it's 25 bucks.

basically most brazilian bbq places run mid to high 20s.

ahh....

fogo de chao (www.fogodechao.com) costs the most but its probably the best i've had. i paid around 120 (incl. tax & tip) for 2 people. which is probably how much it'll cost u to go to a upscale steakhouse like mortons, ruths chris, nick + stefs.

damn... did that include at least glass of wine? I was in Ruth Chris and the bill didn't come out that much. I had steak, soup and no drinks. It was about 40 bucks or so for my share.

and where's Nick + Stef's?

oh, and to link. Click on the "http" buttom on top of the Reply Window

1 glass of wine. but basically, say ur "serving" at ruths chris + appetizer + soda + dessert usually will run 50-60 a person. i usually figure i'm gonna spend that much when i go to a steakhouse (no wine for me)

nick + stef's is in the wells fargo building in downtown on 3rd. they dont have the famous butter sauce like ruths chris, but they have a caesar salad they make right at ur table. i guess they're pretty known for that. a lot of us go there for happy hour. the steaks are pretty similar to mortons. actually to me most steakhouses, not sizzler, where the steaks cost around 30-50 taste pretty similar to me.

I saw a Sake Grill on 2nd/Live Oak, across from 7-11. There was a notice that they could no longer serve alcohol. Not sure if its the same one you're talking about though.

edit: Was suppose to quote anylawcc's previous post about Sake Grill.

what the, BCD doesn't suck. It's price VERY REASONABLY (unlike other Korean food), open 24 hours, and have really good soondooboo! (tofu soup thing, heh).

I hope they open one up in SD.

Nice.

I went to a Korean restaurant with a mate yesterday.

We had the basic salad things they gave us.
Octopus thing
Marinated Beef BBQ style on the thing grill thing on the table
Raw beef slices with slices of chinese pear and a raw egg on top. Tasted very nice but didn't seem to go down as well later
Finished with oranges and melon.

Game to £35 ~ $55 with 10% tip included.

Next time we'll get the meal for 2 at £17 each. We would have gotten quite a bit more.

Food was beginner to taste PLAIN and boring to my pallet...
