I went to EDC friday and after seeing how packed it was friday, decided against going Saturday. Event started at 2pm, the LA Coliseum floor got packed by 7:30pm and they stopped letting people down there, so you could only go in the bleachers now. Way way way too many underage, drugged out kids there. They really need to make these events 18+ or 21+. This will probably be my last year going.
From what I read/heard/listened to on XM radio about Saturday, the Coliseum floor got packed by 5pm and no more people were allowed down there. There's a fence going around the floor to prevent people in the bleachers from coming down, except thru designated entrances... which were blocked by security. So stupid kids started hopping the fence.. and its actually 2 fences about 15 feet apart with a "no man's land" in between. Several hundred kids got thru. Music was stopped several times to announce the fence hopping needs to stop... even Lil Jon got on the mic which is seen in the video. I heard there was some fence hopping going on outside to get in the event for free.. but it wasn't as bad outside as security was everywhere.
185,000 people attending over 2 days.. I remember just 2 years ago when it was only like 40-50k..
