Your math is off. 99.98 - 20 = 79.98 - 50 = 29.98 - 40 = -10.02 not -29.98. Problem is, Staples, at least for me is charging tax BEFORE the coupon. I was charged 8.00 tax on my Philips CDRW deal this week and THEN they took off the 25 coupon. I don't know if this was an isolated thing or are they starting a new policy? If that's true, your deal is, at least for CA: 99.98 + 8.00tax = 107.98 -20 -50 -40 for a net 2.02 in the pocket. Still a good deal for basically free. Also, how do you get Staples to not take the UPC barcode since Apollo wants the original???

I see your math is as good as your englsh. That comes out to -$10 and you have to factor in sales tax which will eat up at least half of that.

esquared: I don't believe that Staples will charge you tax on the coupon amount. They don't here in New York. It should be treated as a discount, and it is non-taxable. But you do have to pay tax on the rest of the $80.

That's a negative guys. I bought the Philips 8X/4X/32X CDRW at Staples online this week. I was charged 107.94 + 8.64 tax (@8%) for 116.58 minus the 25 coupon for 91.58. The CDRW will be 51.58 after rebate. As I said, this is the first time they have done this to me as I have made many Staples purchases with coupons. Only added 2.00 to the total so I am not complaining.

THE &quot;BUNDLE&quot; IS A LARGE WHITE BOX. It has a UPC code on it that you send to STAPLES for their $50 rebate.

INSIDE the large whute box is the (separate) Apollo Printer and HP scanner boxes....you send the Apollo Printer UPC to Apollo....

this has been confirmed with Staples rebate center and over at Fatwallet....

Yeah but thats because your in CA buddy. For most people, the ones that don't live in CA, they aren't gonna have to pay taxes on it. So the money coming back to you is about 10 bucks. This is another reason not to live in CA .
