I can't think of anything on Win 10 that is worse than equivalent on Win 8.x. Be it for tablets, desktops, laptops..Win 8.1 here.
If I upgrade to 10, I lose control over my update schedule.
As much as I miss the start menu, is there ANY reason I need to have 10?
Maybe I'll put off that free upgrade a bit longer, or even until next summer.
I lost my Insider build when I upgraded to Skylake.
Sleep/shutdown activities can be some very frustrating issues. I've been dealing with them on two PCs for the last 45 minutes and it's just a mess. Uninstalled power management driver, downloaded and installed said driver, configured power options in Control Panel, changed BIOS settings, rebooted numerous times, endured quizzical error messages, reconfigured power settings, closed the lid several times, set events in programs that are supposed to end with automatic suspend/shutdown/hibernation... neither machine is behaving.I do have a minor irritation with Win10 on my T510, surely it is a simple setting change. I used to be able to command a shutdown, close the lid and walk away, and the laptop would shut down (in Win7). Now, if I don't wait for the thing before closing the lid, it will go to sleep in the middle of shutting down, since closing the lid tells it to go to sleep, after all (which I normally like). So now, somewhat comically, when I pull the lid open later, it will wake up just long enough to finish shutting down.
Oh okay thanks for informing. Don't know why it is occurring so many times!
Fun times! :\Sleep/shutdown activities can be some very frustrating issues. I've been dealing with them on two PCs for the last 45 minutes and it's just a mind fuck. Windows 10 should have been what they released as Windows 8. At least they fixed it. I say Windows 10 is the best version ever, anyone running 7 should upgrade.
8.1 was the fastest for me and I'm sure that once they have more time with 10 that it will improve.
