So how are you liking Win10 so far?

Leo Laporte today stated that WIN10 was rushed (market ploy) to get it out in time for start of schools (ie, end of summer break).

Leo says WIN10 seems to be good with him and just didnt like WIN 8 (too weird).

Call ins now are about WIN10 issues.

Sounds like the same ole stuff again (ie, similar to some of the VISTA issues) - interoperability problems within platforms across hardware/software mixes.

I had the system clock behave exactly like the disappearing Windows Start menu yesterday. I clicked to bring up the calendar view, clicked again to dismiss it, and then I couldn't bring it back up or change the time without rebooting my computer.

Taskbar menus are not the kind of things I expected to see broken in the final version. This is just sad.

If you open task manager and end the "ShellExperienceHost.exe" process it'll restart it and all that stuff will work again without having to reboot. I've had to do that a couple times since I upgraded. Sure hope they get that fixed soon. Although that being said I had an update come through this past week and so far I haven't noticed it hang or get stuck since then. I've also noticed in task manager under the details tab it hasn't been showing "not responding" like it typically has, but instead just goes into "suspended" mode when idle instead which sounds a lot more normal.

I guess I spoke too soon, just checked my task manager and it said not responding again and was delayed when I hit the start menu. Hah. Oh well. *edit* checked it later and it is back functioning normally again, just suspended. OK, so not quite fixed, but better than it had been.

After using 10 for a while, still finding little things that bug me. For example, I wanted to change the icons that show in the notification area. In Windows 7, that takes one click. In Windows 10? Three clicks. Some (like me) might call that a step backwards. 10 feels the need to show me what submenus it is going through to get to this wonderful feature. I don't really care MS. I just want to find an option that was so simple to find in 7. Was this particular function hard to find? No. But why did I have to waste precious seconds thinking about doing something that has been so simple in the past?
