quiet and cooler than the Radeon 9800 XT, perhaps, but it still runs pretty warm.
Btw, It's the X800XT that performs 2X 9800Pro/XT consistently, not the pro.

Waiting on mine... :sigh: Sold my 9800XT and shipped it off. So my main system is down. Wasnt that big of a deal, because I was doing a full watercooling job on a new case, after selling my Mach II. But now its up, just lacking a video card.
I would be interested to hear why 4 people dont like their purchase of the card. I cant see a reason why you wouldnt like the fastest card out right now. Unless people voted who dont have the card.

Ive got $400 put aside for the X800 Pro, but I cant find one where I dont have to pay tax. It would be about $37 tax if I bought it from BB, or CompUSA. I even get taxed from Newegg since they just put up a place in my state. I just hate paying taxes on hardware, especially when its that much.
Im waiting for an online vendor for about $400 with no tax. But now its getting so close to the XT/PE to be shipped, Im tempted to wait. Ive got a 5900NU in my daughters system I could use for a few weeks. Ugh, I hate waiting, but I hate settling too, just because Im impatient.
Perhaps in a few weeks the 6800 GT or 6800U will ship, and I can make a different decision. But it doesn look like they will be coming out anytime soon.

What I would really like to know is:
Has anyone confirmed or denied ( or have the balls to try) if the X800pro can be hacked into an X800xt? The GT has potential via straight up overclocking, but I would like to roll the $100 dice on enabling four extra pipes.
