by the way how many packages did you get? Today I got a huge box with the PC and the 19 inch monitor inside...
and it's illegal to pump our own gas
Mine came in TWO boxes. Box 1 was the E510 and box 2 was the 2005FPW LCD.
I'd rather have the 20" LCD for $90 more than a slightly faster processor and more HD space. :roll:Originally posted by: LukFilm
Better deal is the Acer PC at Circuit City for $560 AR. Dual-core AMD 3800+, 1GB RAM, dual DVD drives, 250GB SATA drive, media reader, all the fun stuff.

Didn't Dell at one time offer a method to create recovery discs from the machine itself?Originally posted by: RossMAN

Obviously, there are other methods to create these type of discs as well, but the method I am remembering (or misremembering, perhaps) was designed for user-friendliness.

ya no more cds. instead they eat up 10 Gig of your hard drive space to store a copy of xp on your disk for restore purposes. make sure when you reinstall you nuke all the partitions and free up that precious space!
