In my own "ricer". I admit that my car might be classified by some as a ricer. I have it slightly lowered, 1.25" (but using sport springs, not cut) and I have a "large" chrome exhaust tip (tho it is a cat-back system). Other then the tinted windows its all stock outside. Underneath I have adjustable Tokico shocks all around and a pair of Suspension Techniques sway bars. Stock wheel/tire combo tho. This is a 1991 Accord sedan for those who don't know.

To the story. I'm driving home from work and stop at a stoplight. Ahead of the light is a short stretch that's labeled 35 with a nice "S" curve. I take off at the light to get ahead of an Escort next to me so I can take the curve with some speed. Half way to the entry I notice this black civic hatch in my rearview. He pulls up pretty close like he's challenging me. So I go back to 3rd and get up to 60 from 45 and go through the curve. Where was he, nowhere to be found We meet again at the next light. I'm takin a left but I see him take off at the light and weave through some traffic. Not a happy camper

The other day I beat my friend in his Geo Metro while I was driving my girlfriend's 1.5l '86 Honda CRX.

It was kinda funny, but not at all exciting.

Don't judge until you've seen. I really should take some decent pics. And how can it be rice without any body mods?

other than the coffee can, you at least have a stock exterior and mods on under the hood, rather than the opposite.

In all fairness, I bought the coffee can b/c my original muffler was splitting at the seams. I paid $160 for the catback that I installed myself. Would have cost maybe $100 for a good replacement muffler/install.

I dunno about this one... a honda beating another honda Was your car a 6cyl? If I saw your car I would think its riced out too considering the drop and the exhaust.

On my car, everything's stock on the outside but if you pop my hood you'll see electric fans, intake, ngk wires, and soon to have a pulley, exhaust header, and bored throttle body.

Two people racing in equally crappy cars are the best! One time I raced a coworker in an 89 Accord (I have a 95 Geo Prizm) while we were driving to a site. That was the highlight of my day.

He has a 91 Accord. Honda didn't put 6 cylinders in anything back then. Maybe, possibly, in an Acura car of some type, but I doubt it.

v6 in a 91? Not quite. I'm actually not doing anything to this motor until after I smog it next year. Then I'll start in on the fun with another motor

Your car is not rice... My 92' Maxima will get Koni adjustables, Eibach springs (1.5 drop, not noticable) and the ST sways starting in the spring. I'm also going to throw subframe connectors in there somewhere too. It will out handle my friend's A4 by the time i'm done.

The thing with handling is that most people don't push their cars in corners anyway so by having an upgraded suspension you can really have some fun. I just wish my steering was a bit less light. Oh well.

Bring on your rice bucket, I'll cut it down to size! Fear this red, ride, vintage 1986, but will still make mince meat out of you! Swapped a new engine in last year and boosted the horsepower by 12%. Corners like it's on rails. Those stickers and wheels are factory, so I don't want to hear no "ricer" BS! Eat your heart out boi!

My mailbox has several hundred messages that I don't want to delete. My subscription ran out, and it's too much of a luxury to resubscribe. Gotta count my pennies, since I'm unemployed (no pitty, I ain't tryin' very hard to find another job)

What are ngk wires, and how do they make a car faster?
