I don't care for the flavor of alcohol, nor do I wish to ingest anything that would compromise my discipline in any way.
What do you need to stay so disciplined for? Are you a martial artist? Or maybe a monk or something? Just interested.

it'll only be on your juvenile record, unless you have your own large $$$ , are you parents going to be willing to spend large $$ on a lawyer?
i would chalk it up to experience, it isn't like you have to live will killing someone by drunk driving or something
he had a DD...?

Parents grounded me for 2 weeks. Meh. Mom said next time get a better DD or don't drink and then drive myself. Dad said don't be anywhere near alcohol, or parties where there is alcohol. I'm going to listen to Mom on this one because every party has alcohol and I like friends..
Thats it? If I ever got caught drinking, Id get my ass beat to hell and back.

Because he was dumb enough to go through a voluntary breathalyzer test. Without that evidence, I doubt the police would have enough evidence to charge/convict him.

Being drunk != possession
Being in possession = possession

you are all full of stupid today
if you are underage and over whatever limit they set for people under the age of 21, you get hit with possession no mater what, because to be over the limit you would have had to be possessing it at some point in the recent past
just because you didnt have any physicially on you isnt gonna get you out of it
its the law, learn to live with it

Thats not the law in CT. There are laws for possessing, buying, selling, transfering, serving even public intoxication. There is no law that says you can't be drunk in private.
If thats really the law in whatever state he is in that is entirely rediculous. Parents should be allowed to let their children have alcohol in their home whenever they determine it appropriate.

they wernt in private however, they were in a car (public), drunk and underage
and if you want to get stupidly technicial about it, you CAN be cited for being drunk in public on your own front lawn and you CAN be cited for providing alch to a minor by letting your kids drink even if supervised,
Point is the officer has proof he has alcohol in his bloodstream. This is circumstantial evidence and Not proof of possession. The law is for possession anyways not conspiracy to have possession or having at one point had possession.
I want to see how this law is written.
I've never heard of parents being cited for allowing their teenage child to drink a bit of alcohol. They get in trouble for serving minors other than their children
