there are a few things that piss me off about the whole charade:
Microsoft knows damn well there is something wrong with the design of the 1st run of consoles, yet they keep shipping the same damn things back to people with bigger heat sinks on them. Obviously this isn't friggin working otherwise i would only be on my 2nd console instead of my fourth like a LOT of other people. And no, i do not keep it in an enclosed area.
The downloaded content that I purchased, such as games, tv shows, movies, etc, is completely unaccessible during the time my console is dead and in the 20-30 day "repair processing pool". Nor are the games and accessories I purchased to use with my xbox360 good for anything either. We are talking thousands of dollars here...I've been unable to use my purchased crap for a combined total of almost 90 days because of this, not to mention the fuckin phone call circle jerk you have to go through every time you call.
Because of Microsoft's rush to get the consoles out before sony, they skipped over the quality assurance part of the process, thereby screwing anyone who bought a console within the first year and a half of launch.
So am I pissed off that my defectively designed console keeps breaking, my games are useless, and microsoft continues to screw me and millions of other people instead of just giving us one of the cooler running consoles?? damn skippy I am
I think a class action suit suing them for continuously and knowingly re-issuing defective consoles to people, denying them access to their digital media, denying people access to purchased subscription services (xbox live) and just the sheer inconvience caused by their failure to FULLY admit the mistake and fix it RIGHT by replacing defective consoles with the newer, more reliable consoles would be a good thing.
If i get another refurb and it dies, i'm suing..
